Street Monkeys

Show Summary

Street Monkeys is the Smithsonian Channel series that follows groups of monkeys who live in urban areas. The series, narrated by Dee Snider, follows mischievous vervet monkeys as their daily lives bring action and drama in the streets. Street monkeys follows two rival gangs of monkeys, the Pani Troop and the Sugar Cane Gang, as they fight for prime real estate. The Pani Troop lives in an exclusive gated golf community, Mount Edgecombe Estate in South Africa, guarded by walls and security. These gangs are led by the alpha female, and for the Pani Troop that is Bess, a tough and no-nonsense leader. These mischievous monkeys run amuck in the fancy community, breaking into houses and causing all kinds of mischief. The monkeys are very territorial, and across the fence there is the Sugar Cane Gang, monkeys from the wrong side of the tracks who are eyeing up the lavish lands on the Mount Edgecombe Estate. Can the Pani Troop stick together and protect their piece of paradise, or will the Sugar Cane Gang overpower them? Find out in Street Monkeys.moreless
