There were alot of really dumb answers given to questions on Street Smarts. This one is the first to come to my mind.

Frank: How many 24 hour periods are there in 1 week?
    Interviewee: 128.

This question sticks to me a lot. They even did one episode where only this question was asked.

Q: How many states are there in the United States?

    Some dumb answers were 51, 52, 59, and 32.

You're right. Everyone should know the answer to that, but somehow a lot of people don't. I do remember at least two people who sang that song that mentions all of the states. I guess they were the only two who knew there's 50 states!

Another thing that is funny is when the writers make up stuff for Frank to say that makes fun of him such as:

Q: Spell purse, as in sometimes I carry a man purse.

or on the western episodes where the billboard said:

Sheriff Nicotero - the short arm of the law

Some stupid answers turn out to be funny as well.

For example, Frank asked the question "what's a subordinate?"

One street smarts interviewee replied "absence of sex."

Another question "what berry is a brand of cell phone?" came with a response "dingleberry".

You have to admit that some of the stupid answers can give viewers a good laugh.

Exactly right! This is the reason I enjoy the show so much.

weezie_Y, since you know so much about TV shows, maybe you can tell me. Did Street Smarts used to take place in the Mall of America? I seem to remember a similar show with a different name that aired on GSN. We have been discussing this here at my house for 2 days now. I can almost see the other show I am thinking of but can't remember what it was called. I keep thinking of that green ball thing that used to be GSN's mascot. It's driving me crazy. Help!

I wish I could help. I don't have GSN network. Sorry.

Frank has been traveling all over the U.S. I wouldn't be surprised if he did stop by the Mall of America. So I would say a 'maybe' on this one.

    another dumb but funny answer:

Frank: How many cups are on a standard bra?
    interviewee: four

this one is kind of cute:

Frank: Orville and Wilbur what? are often credited with inventing the airplane.
    interviewee: Orville Redenbacher?

Yeah the cup answer was pretty dumb. And she (Jenny, the interviewee's name) calls herself a woman? (LOL)

I thought this answer was hilarious. Frank asked Denise the Hawaiian girl "What's a pole boy?" Her answer: "A boy that makes poo."

I'll try to think of some more since there are so many stupid and funny answers.

I found my own answer to that question I had asked you about a similar game that was in Mall of America. I went to IMDb and typed in mall and found Mall Masters. It only aired for 1 season in 2000, so that's why I couldn't remember it.

I laughed at that answer. Stupid, but funny.

The country/continent/city/state question is another type of question easily missed.

Q: What state is Las Vegas in?
A: My favorite state, Las Vegas!

    I liked that one too.

the question was something like what do A, E, I, O, U and sometimes Y have in common?
the guy answered that they are all vowels which is correct. Then Frank asked him what his favorite vowel was. The guy replied "V".
Frank said, "But that's not a vowel."
The guy replied "Yeah, but it starts with one."

Spelling is another type of question that's usually missed.

Frank asked three interviewees how to spell 'banana'.

One spelled it 'B-R-A-N-N-A'. How's that possible? Unless she's a terrible speller.

    she must have been!

Q: Finish this old saying - Men seldom make passes at girls who _______________.

Contestant was dunced. His answer was: Men seldom make passes at girls who fail classes.

Then the interviewee gave his answer: Men seldom make passes at girls who have kids.

What's the ending to that saying?

Oh, here's the dumbest answer ever. Frank had a head of Uma Thurman and the interviewee's job was to guess who the celebrity was.
Now Gwen Stefani I could let slide, but Oprah Winfrey. That was really stupid.
