STREET TIME, a dramatic series that ran for two seasons, focused on the lives of parole officers and the parolees who report to them. The tag that followed the show was "Welcome to Life on the Outside," easily describing the plot of this thrilling series. The lead character, Kevin Hunter (Rob Morrow) is a former smuggler, who is now on parole after being in prison for five years. Now that he has a new chance, Kevin will do his best to stay out of trouble, trying to reconcile with his wife Rachel (Michelle Nordin). However, the sins from his past will come back to haunt him, and James Liberti (Scott Cohen), Kevin's parole officer, will do his best to save Kevin. Every was talking and saying that this movie is sooooooooooo good. Yeah now it's going to be my first time watching this movie and i hope that they wont dissapont me. Also Serrena William was the satr in the movie as other people. That day was so fun when we had to reherse for on of the eposodes called Fly girl. So i'm going to watch it now.moreless

A Showtime program about parole officers and the parolees who report to them. If this is a show that you do not normally watch and you are sitting at home with nothing to do, you are going to wish you had it on tape. Having it "on tape" had become the generic term for recorded programs. Today you are more likely to have the show on Tivo or DVR than VHS, or god forbid Beta!! It is kind of like how a lot of people still call CD's "records" or "albums." Anyway, back to the show. This is the type of show that is really pretty good if you would just give it a chance. So on those cold, lonely, rainy days, pop in your tape or DVR or whatever if you were smart enough to tape it. If not, check to see if it is on as a re-run. After all, as they say, if you have never seen it, it is new to you.moreless

The parole officers in Street Time are used to dealing with losers and deadbeats, people feeling too fearful, angry, and worn down to make a change. Constrained by curfews, spot checks, and drug tests, they can neither reenter their old lives nor embark on new ones -- they're in limbo, not inside, but doing street time. Showtime's original series, executive produced (and often written or directed) by ex-parolee Richard Stratton and extra-smart independent filmmaker Marc Levin (Slam [1998], Thug Life DC [1999], Gladiator Days [2000]), takes these feeling seriously, as they're experienced by the parolees and engaged by the officers assigned to their cases. In Street Time, everyone is, eventually, caught in between past and future, unable to inhabit the present.moreless
