  • Mystery abounds in this Hitchcock like episode of "Studio One". Starting off aboard a train a man and his friend discuss the days news. Alert poisoner posing as a cook!

A really well done early piece of television. "Studio One" did not take short cuts and it shows in the writing, directing, sets and the actors. Roland Young gives his usual perplexed unassuming character performance while Josephine Brown as Mrs. Sutton literally steals the show with her antics. Not to be outdone by the presence of the phenomenal Bertha Belmore. Faith Brook plays the wife too well that one might suspect her capable of anything. The play comes together like a Hitchcock mystery. Highly enjoyable and a delight to watch. I highly recommend this episode. A trip back in time.moreless
