Having no familiarity with that brand, I didn't realize she was spouting a real product name, just heard something about "tablet" which I took as a generic term. Then I re-watched and paid attention to find it pretty embarrassing for all concerned. There was a similar shameless product placement trend on Smallville in the early years, when I used to watch that anyway, and it was cringe-worthy too.
I don't mind a physical product placement if it's incidental. It's better than looking at cans of prop COLA and laptops with conspicuous blackout dots on their lids. When a character starts talking up a product as dialog it's degrading to everybody involved. 30 Rock has done a few clever spoofy placement things if I recall but it's otherwise been a very bad thing to see.
