  • We start by seeing the definate attraction of Jack and Sue. I like Lucy's come back for myles. However it does bring in a question? How did Lucy and Myles have a relationship, but Sue says it's against FBI rules to date within your unit.moreless

    9.0
It was a very funny show. I like how they keep trying to play practical jokes on Sue and she takes it in stride. Levi proves he is a wonder dog by saving Sue's life. It would be hard to tell that he was abused. Dogs have a way of forming an attachment that is unbreakable. Jack really starts to show his affection for Sue right away. It's the start of how he shows her time and time again that he is interested in her. Even to go as far as breaking up with the Rhonda that appeared in the Second show.moreless
  • A good expansion on real-life situations...

    7.7
I like the fact that this episode built a bit more on the fact that Sue IS a novice; it was a little too convenient in the pilot to have Myles as the only one willing to voice some serious reservations - from my acquaintance with several Deaf/HOH people as a result of the show, I've learned that Myles' reactions (admittedly spurred on by the fact that Sue's lip-reading put him in a bad situation with Lucy) are much more the norm.

The "hazing" was funny; but when she screwed up, like any other rookie, they let her know it.

I realize it's a writer's license to use one character of an ensemble to "portray" a microcosm of attitudes - but I liked seeing that not everyone else was still... instantly cordial.moreless

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Sue Thomas did have a service dog named Levi.

    • Bobby's nickname of Crash is a reminder of the record he holds for totalling his brand-new Government issued ride in an astounding 45 minutes!

    • Jack's nickname of Sparky comes from the time he ditched his Government issued ride into the Potomac. The story goes that the car was shooting sparks everywhere and he called on the wrong emergency frequencies that "the car was on fire, there were sparks everywhere and he would ditch it in the Potomac".

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Lucy: So I was lying in my bed last night and I'm wondering why I have this horrible headache and suddenly, it hits me: the bowling pins.
      Sue: Excuse me?
Lucy: The pounding in my head had the same rhythm as the incessant crashing of balls knocking down pins in the bowling alley below your apartment.
Sue: Um, my apartment gives you a headache.
Lucy: Exactly. Now, the fact that you and I are friends and I can't stand to be in your apartment, that's a problem. But not an unsolvable one.

    • Eldridge: Since Jack brought you into this mess, he'll be your training agent. I like Jack. Try not to get him killed. Having said that, uh, welcome to the team.

    • Charlie: We heard you made it through Quantico with flying colors.
Sue: With you two working for the FBI, I would have thought your information would be more accurate.

    • Jack Hogan: Knock yourself silly.
