    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Strontium is an alkaline metal which is reactive, but not radioactive in the forms found naturally. It has many industrial uses, and is probably part of the glass on your TV. Ironically, one of the other uses is to produce the colour in some fireworks and flares, though the amounts are very small. It occurs naturally anywhere calcium is found - even in milk and mineral water.

Only specific isotopes (strontium-89 and strontium-90) are radioactive and potentially dangerous - they are a by-product of nuclear reactors. The bomb in the show would have contained strontium-90. However, it's reasonable that the terrorists would have just referred to it as "strontium", so this is just a nitpick.

    • QUOTES (1)

    • NOTES (3)

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Bobby: I love it when a plan comes together. This is what Col John "Hannibal" (George Peppard) said on the A-Team when nothing worked out the way he had planned, but they came out on top anyway.

      • Bobby: I love it when a plan comes together! This was the signature quote of another television FBI agent: Robert Culp's character Bill Maxwell in the early-'80s show The Greatest American Hero (his other classic quote was "Here's the scenario...").
