I think the costume department did a fine job. Today, expensive suits are modern day replacements for polished European medieval armor, a symbol of power and prestige. Even the tie comes from a 15th cent. Croatian military uniform. So, it makes sense that Harvey would wear high-end tailor-made traditional suits, kind of fitting his rank in the law firm, while Mike is still a foot soldier, therefore his style is more casual, off-the-rack clothes. Harvey is also always wearing dark blue, which is the color of the corporate world. Traditionally, dark blue symbolizes intelligence, stability and confidence (hence the blue police uniform). I don't mind if Harvey stays in suits throughout the show. (I doubt we'll ever see him in jeans, lol)

It's sorta hard to image Harvey in anything but a suit. His face doesn't really call for anything else to match it.

Okay, a point seems to have been missed. What I actually meant was yay or nay on his penchant for three-piece suits, not suits in general, as it only makes sense he would wear a suit to work, both in-universe (lawyer) and out-of-universe (ie: the fact the series is actually called "Suits").

I vote Yes for 3 piece suits. As I said, it makes sense for this character to pick a high priced traditional suit (3 piece suits were a norm prior to the 1940s) as he is almost in the line with the man's man image of that era. Whenever I see Harvey all "suited up", I just want to loosen his tie and mess up his hair, LOL He really is a perfect example of a man who looks se*y in a suit.

Absolutely yes on the three-piece-suit front, they're hot. Don't care much about Mike's skinny tie look, he's just cute in my eyes.
