It has been announced that the British entertainment company UKTV has picked up the first-air rights to Suits which is said to begin airing in the UK on Dave some time in 2012. The company has also picked up the rights to air fellows USA series Covert Affairs which will also air some time in 2012 on Really.

Good news for Dave as the channel continues to branch out from its origin of showing nothing but repeats, but not the best choice of channel for the show. There are plenty of other channels that specialize in crime/legal dramas* on which Suits would fit in perfectly, whereas on Dave the show will seem a bit out of sorts. Then again maybe that will turn out to be a benefit. This way it certainly wont get lost in the crowd, though it will be out on its own no matter when it is aired.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out for both Dave and Suits. Hopefully for the best for both.
*I'll half concede in advance that Suits is not entirely dramatic, but leans more towards the more light-hearted side of things without straying into out-and-out comedy.
