  • Doesn't seem like it would be a series finale!

    9.5
At the end of the episode, I realized this doesn't seem like a series finale. You can tell that they decide to cancel the show without a proper finale. Because you dont know what happened between Bradin and the guys that threatened to sue him. You don't know what happened between Jay and the girl he got pregnant. You don't know what happened between Cameron and his dad. And you don't know what happened between Ava and Johnny. Its good for a season finale. But not a series finale. It was still a good episode though. I juss want to know what happened.moreless
  • The series finally.

    5.0
It\'s a very VERY good show... but I\'m sad to say that the series finally was simply pathetic! It did not look like a series finally, not even close. So much was left in the open... What heppens between Braiden and Dereck? Where the hell is Cameron? How did it stay between Susana and her boyfriend? What about Jay\'s baby? So much was left unanswered. They could have done so much better. It felt like if they tried to cramp everything up in one episode. At least one more episode would be enough to clarrify it all, put a better end to the story.moreless
  • Yes, my friends, this is the series finale...Literally.

    9.8
Okay, so here we are. This was the last episode of Summerland that I saw...Ever. I don't remember whether I knew that it was going off the air or not. However, after this episode was over nobody ever mentioned Summerland. It just vanished! Where did it go!? Is it coming out on DVD? I sure hope so, because I need to see it again! Like I said before, I didn't have time to watch the show due to school. Either that, or I just didn't get around to watching it. Hey! I don't remember, but didn't this show used to be on on Monday nights right after 7th Heaven?moreless
  • This episode is so dramatic and painful to watch.

  • Good show, but this doesnt seem like it should be a series finale.

    9.1
This was a good episode, where Bradin realizes that there are many things that are much more important than surfing, Ava and Johnny getting back together, and Jay getting news that Isabel is pregnant. After watching this episode I couldnt wait to see how everything would turn out the next season, but then I realized that the show was over and that I would never get that sense of closure that a series finales is supposed to provide. This would have been a good season finale, leaving everyone anxious to see what would happen with Bradin and his new reaffermed concern with school, Johnny and Ava, and how Jay would deal with the pregnancy. Sadly, we will never know how Bradin does in school, or how serious Johnny and Ava become, or what Jay will do. We don't know if the lawsuit against Bradin by "Wave Crashers" would work out, or if Derrick (who is the most annoying character in the world!) ever stopped giving Bradin the cold shoulder. It would have been nice for Bradin to resolve his problem with Callie and maybe they could have hooked up again instead of Bradin just wanting to get laid. Plus Cameron and Amber werent even shown, which is bad for a series finale. and we never know how Cameron's drinking problem turned out. Good episode, but in an aspect of a series finale, the sense of closure was just not there.moreless

    • Ava: (to Johnny) You could move out and move back in ten thousand times and nothing would change how we feel about each other.I mean, anything could happen... if any two people know that it's us, but I just don't wanna keep going round and round and I don't... I don't wanna fight with you.
Johnny: I love you too. And I'm sorry I haven't been able to say it, it's just... With everything that's happened I've been uncounsious.
Ava: I know... (she begins crying. Johnny puts his hands on her face)
      Johnny : You okay?
      Ava:Yeah. I'm okay.
Johnny: (while kissing) You want to?
      Ava: Yeah...
Johnny: Maybe we should... go back into the house?
      Ava: Yeah.

    • Erika: So how does it feel to be free again?
Bradin: It feels like anything is possible.
      Erika: Anything is possible.
      Bradin: Really…anything?

    • Ava: Johnny and I will always be friends but what we had…I just think too much has happened and… it just may be over.

    • Isabel: A month from now, a year from now, you could change your mind and it would be me left again with a kid who thinks his father's…
Jay: No I wouldn't. I couldn't. I don't know what's going to happen a year from now or ten years from now and I know I can't offer any guarantees but I'm trying.
      Isabel: Jay.
      Jay: Please! Let me try.

    • (Jay returns to apologize to Isabel for his reaction to the news that she's pregnant)
Jay: I know my first reaction to the news wasn't ideal.
      Isabel: Neither was your second.

    • (Ava's response when Johnny denies that they have a date)
Ava: What if it's not okay? I mean you are picking me up, right? We are going to dinner, a concert that sounds like a date. What if I don't want it to be casual? What if I want it to be authentic?

    • Jay: Susannah, she's pregnant. Isabel's pregnant.
Susannah: Wait Jay, are you all okay? Is she okay?
Jay: She's already a single mom struggling to make it work. Now this. I'm thinking no.
