RobotMonkeys4Ever's Official Review for Galactic Smash: Space Attack
Negative Elements: Uh, was I the only one who noticed the monkeys had almost no airtime at all? I kept waiting for my Sprx to say something, and he said like 3 lines in the entire ep. I think Nova had even less. Antauri had a couple, Gibson had a few. Otto had the greatest number. But all in all, they didn't talk much. I have to admit I didn't really like the choice they made for one distress call over another. It really made me wonder how strong Chiro's passion was for Jinmay. He didn't even seem to have much inner-struggle about who to choose! Was Jinmay's call NOT a distress call and this other girls WAS? I mean, I totally see now why it was imperative they deal with it first, as this device would've destroyed the planet had they ignored it, but their logic seemed faulty. My only other complaint was that there was a teenie bit too much explaination and not enough action.
Posative Elements: I was incredibly pleased with the plot. It was deep, consuming, well balanced, well explained, complete (except the whole "to be continued..." thing. But all in all, it was very well thought out. Of course the old school video game references were amazing. I'll have to get a Galaga screencap when I get things running digitally. And Chiro makes a pretty good Zelda ;). The new characters were a nice change from the norm. "The Commadore" and his evil plot was a nice change from the average "I'm SK trying to take over the world through my evil minions!" kind of things. Was SRMTHG trying to politial in the "Top 5 Destroyers" thing? I doubt it. I think they may just be playing off a fear that many people have, of being neutral and being wasted by an other-worldy source.
The cliff-hanger was amazing. I can't wait to see the monkey team work there way out of this maze, and defeat this ugly slimey mouthy creature thing. I can't wait for next Saturday! Part two is bound to be gripping. Although as I've said, I don't know how Jinmay will react if Chiro comes back to Shuggazoom with another girl on board. ;) Anyway, it was overall an absolutely BREATHTAKING work of fiction

But, I don't see what good that'll do us. -
Chiro: Can you drive this thing, Otto?
Otto: Sure! Just Like driving a pineapple pie! -
(as the three heard hissing noises)
Nova: What was that?
(huge snake appears)
Sprx: You had to ask! -
(as he presses the holographic device)
Otto: Wow, this is great! I wonder if it could turn into a sardine... -
(as they watched Jinmay's transmission for the second time)
Otto: Woah... she needs us, on Shugazoom!
Sprx: Brilliant deduction Captain Obvious! You win the Golden Star!
Otto: Thanks! I'll see if I can pull in some more!
