I was about three when I first saw this show and I must say it brings back a lot of good memories to series tells us the story of two children, Christopher and Joy and their robot partner Gizmo, as they find out about the Bible's stories, after finding the Superbook (which is the bible by the way... a talking version of the bible of course). I really liked Chrsitopher and Gizmo's antics towards Joy, and I loved when she got angry about something, only to apologize for losing her temper. It ran for two seasons, the animation was quite good and it showed us that the Biblical characters were people like everyone else, who believed in God. I have to say that it's probably one of the best shows of its kind, even if it's more than 30 years old (which proves that japanese animation is timeless). I give this one a 9.5moreless
I remeber when I first watch this as a young boy. I grew up not only watching it, But I also learn alot of good Bible story. It's a great show to watch with kids of all ages, and I do miss this show alot. I just wish they can bring it on DVD. Any way it tells a story from the creation all the way to Story of Paul. And Superbook is the Bible. I like how the second season have a part five episodes with the story of Moses and the story of David. My favorite episode has to be the story of Joshua. Hope they bring this show back soon on tv.moreless
Christopher, Joy, and Gizmo travel through the pages of the Bible, learning important life lessons from its heroes. Superbook, time and again, has proven to be a classic; it brings back many old memories. The intro and ending songs are simply beautiful.moreless
I really enjoyed this series. Each episode is designed to teach important life lessons. We learn that the heroes of the Bible were just ordinary people who trusted God. Superbook is a must for Christians of all ages to see.
Superbook breathes new life into the books of the Bible. My favorite episode by far is "Here Comes the Bride."
I laughed at Chris and Gizmo's antics at trying to impress Rebekah. The jokes about "Abraham and Isaac Smith" were just too humorous; the fact that the steward didn't catch the reference to his masters' names was priceless. Joy did have one point to make in the film. Revealing knowledge of the future can be dangerous.moreless
