  • Early 1960s Sci-Fi series from puppet master Gerry Anderson. Surprisingly sophisticated scifi hardware and storylines. The Supercar team tests and uses an experimental rescue craft that can travel on land, underwater, in the air and even in space.

Charging Port... 9000, 12000, 15000... Interlock on... Fire One! Supercar's engines roar again into life and the Supercar team in Black Rock Nevada are once again out to the rescue. Early black and white classic from Gerry Anderson who went on to create Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet. Beautiful models and engaging characters put together by a team who really cared and who had foresight on many interesting developments. The 26 episodes in series one and the 13 episode i series 2 have the title craft performing all sorts of missions on land, underwater, in the skies and even in space. All sorts of gadgets and add-ons are designed by eccentric engineer and scientist Dr. Beaker, and tried out by fearless (and bushy eyebrowed) pilot Mike Mercury. Professor Popkiss keeps the team level headed, while Jimmy Gibson helps out where he can and pet monkey Mitch usually cause some problem or other.
