I just saw this on DVD, earlier this afternoon.

It was one of the so-called "lost episodes" from "Challenge Of The Superfriends." In other words; half-hour segments that had nothing to do with the Legion of Doom. And, though I hate to admit it, the writing was pretty clever. A cross between HGW's "War of the Worlds" and that low-budget movie classic, "Evil Brain From Planet Arous." The latter could possess an Earth-person by making itself intangible enough to enter a corporeal body. And, that's exactly what these sentient blobs of gray matter did! Then, there was the system of teleportation they used: lightning bolts. Did Steven Spielberg happen to watch this show, back in the Seventies? Because that's how the aliens in his version of WOTW teleported into their tripods! Last, but not least, was the usage of Wonder Woman as the only Superfriend partially immune to psychic domination. Given her mystically asexual origin, it stands to reason she might not sucuumb to it as easily as the male Superfriends. Thus, she not only "dispossessed" herself. But, also conjoined her telepathy (the brand she uses to control the Invisible Plane) with Aquaman's, in order to free both him and Robin! Proof, once again, that this H-B version of the Justice League is unjustly maligned.moreless
