  • This episode is the first of one of the best incarnations of superfriends...

This 1st episode of the legendary super powers show is an fantastic beggining for this show. Bride of Darkseid introduces a new hero, Firestorm as well as more villains, Darkseid and his minions, Kalibak and Desaad. For his 1st animated appearance I think this was an pretty good Darkseid episode. However, even for the 70's, it is kind of ridiculous that Darkseid is as obsessed as he is about Wonder Woman. I like how they tell Firestorms origin as most heroes begginings are not explored. His interpretation on this show is pretty solid. I do think, though, that they went a little bit to overboard on Firestorms Wonder Woman crush. This is a pretty good episode and is a build up for the conclusion.moreless
