My favorite villian is Parasite I think his powers are cool and he seems to have a really cool personality, like choosing to help out if he can have cable. Plus he gave superman a good run for his money.

I liked Parasite too. I think Darkseid is the most physically dangerous but you have to give props where they're due. Luthor is and always will be the best Superman villain.

Lex Luthor is a good villain, but don't you think it's the powers that make the villain. In "JLU" Lex was a cool villain because he's really smart and could rig cadmus and the Nuclear laser, but in "Superman the Animated Series" he seemed like a worthy adversary but not necessarilly the most powerful villian. At best Lex was more of a good villian creator then a great villian.
That's why I like Parasite as he could take Superman's powers and give a good fight, but he could also read minds and know Superman's identity, and doing it all with a dash of attitude. They even gave Parasite a cameo on JLU because he was so memorable.

What about Metallo? He's sort of immortal and can never die. I bet he can easily kill Jax ur and Mala with that Kryptonite in his chest.

Even though he is more a nuciance than a villian, I would have to say Myx. He got Superman's goose worse than Batman did to the Joker on "Mad Love"

Darkseid is the runner up to Luthor. Darkseid gives Superman a hard time mostly because he's powerful enough to do so. Luthor gives Superman a hard time with no powers other than the money he made for himself and his mind.

Darkseid definitely is one of the top villains. In literal power darkseid definitely has the strength to give superman a good fight and his death ray eyes give him the extra push to top villainy. I think he gets over lex sheerly because without kryponite or using any of superman's "weaknesses" he can still bring superman down.
On the psychological side of villiany I would think that Superman finds Brainiac to be his most evil rival cuz if it wasn't for Brainiac his parents would still be alive, plus Brainiac's kill count in the universe out does all the other villians, probably even more than Darkseid.

His parents would still be dead even without Braniac, it wasn't him who caused the explosion.

I always liked Granny Goodness. She was sick in an ironic sort of way.

Darkseid is up there, as is Luthor.

    Parasite deserves a mention.

    Braniac is neat.

I like Metallo, but you pretty much gotta give this one to either Darkseid or Luthor.

Luthor because he's definitely Supes' most annoying villain (like that blasted three-yer-old brother who always gets out of trouble but you can't beat him up yet because he's only three years old, same with Luthor, Supes only hit him once in the series).

Darkseid because he knows how to get under Supes' skin both physically, mentally and emotionally. Darkseid makes everything personal, just like the Joker does with Bats (crippling Barbara, trying to drive Gordon insane, killing Jason Todd, manipulating Nightwing into killing him, then coming back to start trouble again). It's the same with Darkseid (making Supes betray his adopted planet, killing the man he respected and probably admired, taking control of him, constantly going out of his way to single Supes and Earth out for battle).

I just wish we could have seen Metallo become that big monster-robot thing he is in the comics

Superman shows what he can really do in the series finale of JLU.

I think the nominees are Lex Luthor,Brainiac, and Darkseid.

But it has to go to the one and only Lex Luthor.

After seeing what Superman did to Darkside on Justice League Unlimited the only villains who can be considered a threat are Jax-Ur and Mala seeing as how they have just as much power as Superman even more seeing as how they are trained military. Doomsday since he in the DCAU is more powerful than Superman and can kill him.

True, but Jax-Ur and Mala are gone (in a black hole). That just leave Doomsday but Superman has already proved that he can go toe to toe against him in JLU. And let's not forget, this is about the tv serie and not the comics. Best villian would have to be Lex Luthor, he's got brains. Next in line would be Brianiac, cause even Darkseid is afraid of him.

Actually I was talking about the series not the comics.Jax-Ur and Mala could come back seeing how Darkside came back from the dead.Superman fighting Doomsday toe to toe no way he owned the Justice Lord Superman and our Superman both of them got lucky.Doomsday wasn't hurt at all unlike Superman who got injured and by the end of the fight he didn't even have enough power to fly or move.I'm not trying to change your opinion, but saying Superman can fight Doomsday evenly doesn't seem right considering how much he got owned by him in A Better World Pt.1 and in The Doomsday Sanction.
