We find out that Lois is around 28 years old in this episode.
Nearing the end of Superman's and Titano's fight, the oversized chimp picks up a big wheel (ferris wheel) full of people. Considering there has been a giant ape present for a while, why are people still getting on rides?
Maggie: (upon seeing Titano) Criminals, mad men, aliens we can handle. But this?
Lois: No, Titano, put down that vase! Give me back the remote! Come down from there!!!! (to herself) Sure was easier to have a monkey in a house where mom did the cleaning...
(Jimmy and Lois are looking for the teddy monkey)
Jimmy: You're sure it's in here?
Lois: Yes, I'm sure, so shut up and keep squeezing the monkeys!
Bibbo: All right, Cheetah, you asked for it. (slaps giant Titano with a newspaper) Bad monkey! Bad, bad monkey!!
Clark: Looks like you're just what the doctor ordered... Lolo.
Lois's music-monkey, "Beppo", is an homage to Beppo the Super-Monkey, one of several super-powered animal sidekicks Superman got in the 50's.
In the comics, Titano had "kryptonite vision." The creators left that out of this version (probably because there's no way that would be logical).
Notice that when Titano is initially sent into space, his booster is a "Titan O" - not only a source of his name, but also a series of boosters used by the U.S. during the space race.
This episode is based on a story appearing in Superman Annual #1 (1987).
Bibbo: All right, Cheetah, you asked for it.
Cheetah is the chimpanzee who accompanies Tarzan in the movies.
