  • Parasite returns with a perfect 10!

This episode marks the second apperance of Parasite, one of my fav characters of the Superman series. (mainly the animated series) And it delievers a knockout story

It starts where a loonatic named Edger is threatening the City with a bomb but won't reveal where it is. So the police get the brilliant idea; why not let Parasite look into his mind for us? Parasite agrees to do the job on one condition: he wants cable in his cell. So, strapped to a table much like Hanibbal Lactor, Parasite absorbs Edge's life force (or whatever he absorbs) And like all good cartoon plots, something unexpected happens, Edger takes over the Parasite (whcih makes no sense, seeing Superman is ten times as strong as Edger, why couldn't he control Parasite? Unless it had something to do with Edger being unconscious) Edger sends Superman on a phony bomb hunt in a ship wreck in the ocean. He eventually gets hit with debrie and his air helment gets crushed, yet he seemed to have no trouble breathing underwater which made the wet-suit pretty much pointless (which is probally why it is never seen again) Superman returns to the hospital to find out- Surprise! - Parisite has escaped and took Edger's body with him! Edger ( who is now controlling the Parasite) sets up a phone call to the police soon after demanding that Superman deliver the ransom to him alone. He apparently promised Rudy (the parasite, who is skitzophrinic in this episode) that he would give him unlimited power. Tricking Superman to drop his gaurd Parisite absorbs Superman's powers, and attempts to kick his butt! Seeing that he needs more power, he uses Superman's obsessive protectiveness of the humans to his advantage by reactivating the bomb. But Superman gets it away from him and throws it down a really big hole in the ground. He falls in with Parasite and makes it out just in time to avoid the scorching hot flames (Which Parasite didn't do, and yet he somehow survived the blast, being thrown aside like a rag dolll, when it wouldn't have even hurt superman so it was pretty pointless to have him jump out of the pit)

In the End, Edger wakes up in his own body in a flying abulance (and i guess dashes back inside the ambulance immeately after seeing he's in the air, because when we see Superman is carring the ambulance,we see that the ambulance doors are closed. The final sceane ends with Edgar being thrown in jail while we hear the real Parasite; Rudy, laughing at his Cable TV

Like I said, great episode! and the segment with Rudy trying to fight off Edgar in his mind was great. We see in this episode that the Parasite is not evil at all, he just likes his power like a big boy should!moreless
