First, please dont try and take this episode series. It wont work. Next, pretend that you're Superman and a beautiful warrior queen (one of the saving graces of the episode) has asked you to become her "escort". Now dont mind the fight you have with her because, after all, you're Superman, you can take it. But just imagine that for a second.............Now wake up because it's not happening that way. I know they had to dumb her down a bit for the animated series, but make Maxima a interstellar bimbo? who came up with that bright idea? And i know she's very difficult and selfish in the comics, but not just for the sake of being a bully. That's just not her.
Now the other redeeming quality of this episode is the humor found here. The humorous "courtship" is somewhat reminescent of cavemen times (ugh u be my king, wham!). The whole plot is around Maxima trying to get into Superman's ummm cape and him playing hard to get. Throw in Lois's jealousy and you've got an episode worth watching just for giggles.moreless
