Well I definatly don't think Supernatural is going down hill...but I so want Sam's soul back and for the brothers to be back like they were before. Seems like they break them and then build them back a little just to break them down even worse in their relationship and it's wearing me down.

So Sam & Dean are on the hunt for Crowley and Meg is helping them but then Castiel wants to help to but can't work with Meg? I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and guess that since Castiel didn't tell Sam & Dean about Christian being possessed that he might be working with Crowley (enemy of my enemy) and so sabotages the hunt for Crowley deliberately?

I mean, Meg wanted Lucifer to succeed. Raphael wanted Michael to succeed. Neither Crowley nor Castiel want either to happen, so it makes sense that they could be working together

Entirely possible. I've always associated Castiel with free will.

Hmm an angel and a demon in cahoots. I dunno, why would Cas want to help Crowers find purgatory? I think Cas not mentioning Christian being possessed was an oversight, otherwise one of the brothers would have mentioned it. Or maybe Dean noticed and is secretly investigating Cas. Nah, I just can't see them turning Cas evil or into an antagonist. The Cas fans would batsh** crazy.

I'm a Cas fan, and I like the idea. Then again, I've liked every crazy theory except for Star Wars theories involving Tahiri with a guy whose last name isn't Solo.

Dont know bout you guys but Im just enjoying the ride, so to speak. Anyways, after the hype about Sam being something else (before ep 6) I was kinda excited once again about the Sam soul thingy but yeah, it wouldnt be good if they dragged it out longer. Anyways, they seem to be putting an end to that on ep 11 so what Im wondering now is what would be the storyline then? Hope it doesnt turn into a soap opera

There are heaps of story lines going on other then Sam's soul like what Crowley wanting the Alphas and why he wants to find Purgatory and what he has on Grandpa to make him help and once Sam gets his soul back: poor Sam with his tortured soul . How he's going to deal I guess.

First of all, Sam has not been missing a soul for five and a half seasons. Second, I kind of like this plot line. It at least keeps the action rolling. Though I do wish that it would just hurry up. I don't want an entire season that deals with Sam being this show's version of the BTK killer. Finally, I consider this season a bit of an upgrade from the previous one... especially the penultimate two episodes.

I think aussiemovieguy is referring to the fact that everything seems to happen to Sam ( a lot more than Dean, anyway). If this was Dean without a soul, I highly doubt there would be as many complaints.

Just a few things I remember happening to Sam:

    1. Sam was chosen to be a "demon child" by Azazel,

    2. If I'm not mistaken Sam was the first to die of the Winchester Brothers. I could be wrong on this though, because I'm not sure if that one death of Dean counts, or whether it occurred first. But if Dean did die first (technically), I'll just go and say what I meant was Sam's death actually had more of an effect than Dean's death, probably since Dean was in-between life and death, but Sam was straight-out dead.

    3. While it was at the expense of Dean, Sam did have to endure countless Dean deaths is what was it? "Mystery Spot?"

    4. Sam seemed to be heavily picked on from Gabriel in the Changing Channels Episode,

    5. Sam "sacrificed" himself to bring Lucifer back into the cage.

    6. Sam has no soul.

There are probably others, but I always got the feeling that Sam was a bit more picked on than Dean (not to say that Dean hasn't been picked on, but like I said, Sam seems like the writers' punching bag).

But probably even more to the point, usually Sam always came with a loyalty issue tag. Since his loyalty was questionable in the past, maybe it wasn't his fault those times (as well) but it always did seem like if one were to turn evil it would be Sam.

However, since we leaned that Sam has a soul a few episodes ago I really can't see aussiemovieguy's point. I mean what do you mean "I am over the fact that something is wrong with Sam"? Because to me I don't understand that complaint because we know what's wrong with Sam, he has no soul, now were just seeing what happens when someone without a soul interacts with the world. However the complaint makes it seem like we don't know what's wrong with Sam. Except we do so the complaint just doesn't make much sense to me. I mean obviously we can't have Sam getting his soul back after like one episode, because how many chances are we going to see someone without a soul interact with the world on Supernatural?

Sorry, didn't meant to sound like I was mocking Cas fans, I love him myself, it's just that if they turned him evil I think a lot of people would be p issed. having said that if it was simply a case of him doing 'regrettable things' in the line of duty then I think that would be an interesting storyline. Hmm come to think about it Sam has also done some regrettable things - except for the fact he doesn't regret them of course - I wonder if they're parallelling those two now?

I think aussiemovieguy's point was that it's alwasy Sam whose got something 'wrong' with him. What I'm not sure about is if he's annoyed because it's always Sam and he wants more focus on Dean or because he's sick of Sam being the bad guy. There's a lot of that floating around at the mo, personally I can't be @rsed with all that who gets what nonsense, although I really really hope they resolve the soul issue(ie get it back in him) soon. Then they can get on with dealing with the fall out, getting back to being brothers again, but hopefully with some growth and get cracking with all the other weird stuff that's going on.

I think because from the beginning of the series, there has alwasy been a question about Sam;first he was selected as a baby, then died and didn't come back right, was Lucifer's vessel and now he has no soul. There has always been something wrong with Sam, in one way or another. At least that's the way I undetstood aussie's comment. p.s. I believe you're correct about Sam being the first one to actually die. To my recollection Dean neverreally died, he was in a coma and wasabout to diewhen his dad made the deal with yellow eyes.

I love warring angel Cas. Misha is awesome to show some new angles to his character. I want to see more of him in the future.

I do like Sam without a soul. He is thinking with his brains more now than his heart. Sorry to see Crowley gone. Please get rid of Grandpa Campbell.

What? Umm, what?! xD This episode was pretty cool.

    More drama.

Hell of a lot more twists.

But awesome. I can't help but feel that Crowley's demise was a bit anticlimactic, but oh, well--maybe as to reassure us that a new big bad, the actual reason behind wanting Purgatory will be revealed soon enough. I mean, they can't just drop the whole Purgatory thing, so, we'll see.

Cass is a bad ass and a lover! Who knew? xD

    Death again... Me like.

Fairly good episode, much improved over the last one. Some of the plot twists I found a bit odd but overall it was decent.

Great episode and MUCH improvement from last week.
I wanna point out if no else will: the pizza guy porn plot seemed like it was put in there to be funny. It was rather funny but really felt misplaced. It was entertaining to see a horny Cass haha!

Well, guess Cas helped Crowley find Purgatory after all, just not the way he had hoped. As for the Sam thing: I'm sorry if some people are tired of there being something wrong with Sam but that's his lot in life, has been from day one. As for Sam and Dean being like they were. Soul or no soul they will NEVER be like they were, that's just not gonna happen. It would be silly and unrealistic to think that ANYTHING could ever make them like they were before. The best that can be hoped for is for them to make some kind of peace with their past and maybe come out the otherside with some kind of relationship. Oh and just let me ad: everything happens to Sam because, from the start, we've been told it's Sam story, the story is told from Dean's point of view but it's ABOUT Sam.

To revisit the "Star Wars" metaphor, Sam is Luke and Dean is Han. Han was important to the story but Luke was the Jedi hero.
