Title
The episode title shares its name with the 1960 film The Magnificent Seven directed by John Sturges. The film starred Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen as two of seven gunfighters hired to defend a peasant village from bandits. It spawned various sequels and was also made into a television series with the same title in 1998. However The Magnificent Seven was actually an American remake of the Japanese film The Seven Samurai (Shichinin no samurai) directed by Akira Kurosawa in 1954.
