  • Pathetic. Can't believe. This season had such potential. Jenna totally didn't deserve to win.

    7.0
When I look back, the season started with so much potential. Rob, Deena, Dave, so powerful characters. I never thought Jenna (the pretty spoiled girl) would win Survivor! Is that even possible? The way she treated Christie in the beginning, the way she betrayed Deena (yes, she can go on forever, but she was the one who betrayed Deena first!), for me, it's unethical. The truth is that Jenna and Matthew weren't the ones that deserved to make it to the top 2. In my opinion, the true candidates were Rob and Deena. Now, I agree with something I read here. This season is such a disappointment. I won't say a waste of time ONLY because of Deena,Christy and Rob. Period. My next season is season 3. You'll see me back there ;)moreless
  • Jenna shouldn't had won period!

    8.2
I thought that Matthew got a raw deal in the end

But also that people were afraid of him after

The machete incident as well as thought that he had some

Socially awkward skills. He was the true survivor as he provided shelter and food for the team.

Also thought that Butch should had been in the final two with Matthew.

Jenna shouldn't had won at all. She was just too mean and heartless!

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • With four individual immunity wins, Jenna ties Kelly Wiglesworth from Borneo for the most individual immunity wins by a female contestant in one season.

    • The editing accidentally gave away that Jenna was in the final 2 before the last immunity challenge. Note her confessional, with warpaint still on her face, in the jungle. Had she been voted out, she would not have returned to camp, and she didn't have the warpaint until after leaving camp.

  • NOTES (6)

    • In an Entertainment Weekly interview, Host Jeff Probst rated this season as #5 out of the first nine seasons. He called it, "the most unpredictable of seasons…how do you ever predict Jenna and Matthew making it to the final two?" He especially loved "breakout character" Rob Cesternino, saying that "he really reminded people how to play the game." Another plus was that Probst really liked the battle of the sexes twist thrown in at the beginning of the game.

    • Jenna is the second castaway (but first female) to win the final immunity challenge and then win the game.

    • Jenna and Heidi would later be the second and third Survivor member to pose for Playboy. Jenna was the first million dollar winner to pose.

    • Jenna won both immunities and Butch and Rob were voted out of the tribe.

    • The sole survivor Jenna won against Matt in a 6-1 vote, and was announced live in New York City.

    • This episode filmed during the week of December 11, 2002.
