The previous season had some of the best Tribal Council moments of the entire series. Once "Heroes vs. Villains" ended, I did not think Tribal Council would be as good. I just might have been wrong. This episode's Tribal Council was so unbelievable that even Jeff Probst was blown away. No love lost between the members of La Flor. At Espada, Jimmy Johnson has shown his worth to the tribe from the start. His couseling of Holly was yet another example. Whether or not Jimmy Johnson's leadership ability will a blessing or a curse remains to be seen. Entertaining episode.moreless
  • Wow!! Why generation 'Y's why? Le Flor, simply self imploded at Tribal council. 1 simple rule during Tribal Council 'keep your cool'. No surprises to see Shannon go. What mouth! Gee, I wonder if his homophobic or not?moreless

This was just like any other 'early days' episode and nothing out of the ordinary happened until Tribal council. I liked the introduction of the 'Medallion' in the game as it adds a different dynamic, but I guess it's real power will be proved in the later episodes.

After losing the challenging the younger tribe (under 30's) formed 2 separate alliances. Shannon could see that Brenda is a very 'sharp' customer and he felt threatened by her and decided to steer his alliance to voting her off. When Shannon realized his 'right hand man' Chase started to favor Brenda over him he completely 'flipped it' at the worst time, when one must remain the calmest…at Tribal council! He was attacking anybody that told him to calm down. At one stage Sash told him "cool it man, your digging your own grave" Then Shannon makes the ridiculers outburst that had absolutely nothing to do with anything happening at the time..."Everybody in New York is gay What the??? Then Naonka had to announce her disapproval of Fabio, again during the tribal council when you are supposed to keep your cool.

Don't these people realize they are playing for a million dollars? Doesn't this mean anything to them? I am in my 30's so don't take it the wrong way when I say Today's youth has got it too easy!! I had to work hard for what I've got and that ain't much believe me. These young people have an opportunity to have a terrific start in life with a million dollars and because there are a few people in their tribe which they have some personality issues with they are willing to blow it all away? I understand that due to the harsh climate and being away from loved ones, puts people under a lot of pressure but they have only been there for 6 days! Get some prospective people.moreless
  • Oh, the drama!

This was an amazing episode of Surivivor. It was droll and random at the beginning, with Holly going crazy and throwing away some food, but it heated and intensified, particularly at the Tribal Council.

The Council was certainly very amazing and some of these 'la Flor' mmembers certainly have big mouths.

In the end, I was very surprise d at some of the things that they were saying to each other, and I was eextremely delighted at Shannon's elimination, as Brenda is a favorite of mine.

Oh, and I was really glad that the odlder tribe, ESPADA, registered its first victory! Congrats to them!

Keep it up, Survivor, and this season certainly has the potential to be a great one!moreless
  • Interesting episode...Espada has some pretty though gems that haven't been discovered yet.

Ok so while this episode may seem average, for me at least it wasn't. I was checking mostly the Espada tribe, because the La Fleur is kinda not interesting...They are carried by their youth.

Now regardin the Espada , I really liked some of the memebers there...Starting with Marty, Danny, Jill and yea JJ...Marty is the cynical, ruthless type, Danny the silent, thinking, planner, Jill is pretty smart and JJ works with what he has.Tyron is ok, haven't got an opinion about him...Jimmy T might be a liability...I'm starting to believe that they actually have a shot at winning this, especially after the tribal council Shannon scene...Young, fast, intensive group but they can be split quite easy.

The new medallion idea gives a new twist to the game.

Major advantage and can't wait to see if Espada can stay on track and win on next episode with this disadvantage.moreless
