  • Interesting and a lot of drama!

A lot of drama in this one with some big personalities clashing at Casaya. The tribe hasn't had to deal with Tribal Council in a while, so today things got interesting there. A lot of drama with the floods and everything that went down during the night at both camps - with some sickness for the young boys at La Mina and the bathroom alcohol fiasco at Casaya.

The challenges were both good - Bobby did well at The Reward - his fish cutting probably saved them!

But La Mina KILLED the Immunity Challenge! They did awesome!

A lot of different votes cast everything and everywhere by Casaya but ultimately not a big surprise after the bathroom incident.

Bruce stays around barely to tend to his rock garden! :Pmoreless
  • Casaya's unlikely winning streak comes to an end. Bobby and Bruce make a drunken pact not to vote for each other. One of them does, and he's the one that goes home. It's karmic!moreless

There was a lot to analyze in this episode. I'm not sure why it's been so poorly reviewed. I had no idea which of Bobby or Bruce would be going home. There were 4 different people with votes at Tribal Council! The 4-person alliance saw the start of some real division. A 3-woman alliance is kind of formed. Danielle started to gather some power towards herself. Cirie continued to climb the social ladder. Bobby got both Bruce and Shane to promise not to vote for him, which they didn't. Bobby and Bruce drank the last bottle of wine. Casaya's camp was flooded, forcing them to eat raw fish. The Younger Men at La Mina couldn't handle their beans. One tribe ends their unlikely winning streak. Bruce goes to his first tribal council. Lots of talking points in this episode. A great episode. ............ ........... ......... Casaya wins their fourth straight challenge, the Reward Challenge, when Bobby takes over from Bruce and dominates. Bobby's strength at the challenges would prove to be irrelevant, though, as his manners and attitude at camp towards his tribemates, coupled with his karmic betrayal of Bruce, would end up fostering his ouster. .................... ................ .................... I love how Cirie is still there. Shane had said that after Melinda, it would be her. That was 3 episodes ago, and now she seems to have ingratiated herself towards the Casaya-4, somehow. I think it's by being fun, smart, and quiet. She never starts anything or lets anyone push her buttons. But it's also about being observant, which she is doing in spades. She's always watching people, and points out things that she knows will stir up things between people not named Cirie. For example, she found out that Bobby drank the bottle alone. .............. .............. ................... One thing I didn't like about this episode was the fact that the LOSING team at the Reward Challenge WON something... since when does that happen? Usually, Probst says in that tone of his: "[Tribename], I got nothing for ya. Head on back to camp." Not this time. They lost and got to choose between rice or beans. It must have been really bad out there for each tribe to be given food. Poor Younger Men couldn't handle their beans. .............. ................ ................. Back at Casaya, Bobby's targeted for elimination by Shane for being untrustworthy. Interestingly, in the outhouse Bobby had told Bruce he'd flop if given the chance. Shane can sense this, knowing Bobby would join Austin and Nick if they merged, but Aras wants Bruce out because he's weaker. He also probably secretly wants to keep Bobby to use in a merge, which is exactly what the women think when they decide to turn on Aras and vote out Bobby behind his back. Ooh how devilish! It's great to finally see Danielle stretch her legs a bit and take some control! One of the most enjoyable things in this episode is watching the women (without Aras, but with Cirie, wink wink) all get together and re-think everything, only to return to Shane to get a fourth vote (and thus a majority), apologize for being wrong (though it was Aras), and try to get him to return to his original plan. Unfortunately, Shane had just promised Bobby he wouldn't write his name down (as he thought they'd all vote Bruce now). His facial reaction when they confronted him again was priceless. He must think he's playing with dimwits, but they are definitely playing this game hard, too. It will be interesting to see if and how Aras gets back into the good graces of his old alliance, since they didn't tell him they were voting out Bobby!moreless
  • Drink the last bottle of wine, you are going bye, bye!!!!

    8.1
Bobby pretty much sealed his fate when he drank that wine. Now even though he did not drink it alone, he was the main one who was not sorry for doing it. The show started off really good, but it's not as exciting as I would hope. This was simply an okay episode.
  • okay episode

This was not one of the best, but an alright episode, I was disapoinred in Bruce, but not really suprised at Bobby over the wine, the fish give them a huge advantage food wise, but, ver all La Mina has the advantage, if the can win immunity one more time, Casaya dfoesn't stand a chance at merge
  • boring
