Season 20 Episode 11

Going Down in Flames

Aired Wednesday 8:00 PM Apr 22, 2010 on CBS

  • Trivia

    • For the first time, one player (Parvati) plays multiple Hidden Immunity Idols at a Tribal Council.

    • Rupert, Parvati, and Amanda become the only players to play the game three times and make the merge in all three.

    • This is the 14th season of Survivor where two tribes merged into one with 10 remaining players. Thailand had 8 (after having a fake merger with 10), while All-Stars, Palau, Cook Islands and Gabon had 9 remaining players at the merge.

This was only the 4th time in Survivor history where the tribes merged on day 25, tying the record for latest merge with Thailand, All-Stars and Cook Islands.

  • Quotes

    • J.T.: (after being voted out) I feel like an idiot right now. It's terrible to be voted out by your own idol.

    • Amanda: You don't want idols floating around. It just ruins things.

    • Sandra: I still want Russell out bad but I'm stuck with Russell. I'm stuck with Russell.

    • J.T.: If Sandra's story turns out to be true and Russell did not play the idol, then that means I'm probably going home the next tribal council, I don't know. Do I believe it? Not a chance in the world, but ya never know in this game.

    • Rupert: J.T. believes wholeheartedly that Russell is on our side and is indebted to us now. I don't.

    • Rupert: I can not wait to start voting these Villains out of our camp.

    • Sandra: You know how some people forgive but don't forget? Well, I don't forgive and I don't forget.

    • Russell: (referring to Heroes) Hook, line and sinker. They're biting everything I tell 'em. This is gonna be way easier than I thought.

    • Russell: (to J.T. and Rupert) I swear on my kids that I am on board with y'all.

    • Parvati: (after the merge) I'm offended by how these Heroes are treating me. They don't know it yet but they're about to be picked off one by one.

    • Ruseell: We're going over to the Heroes home turf and weed them out one at a time.

  • Notes

    • This episode features J.T.'s first time being voted out. It is his first time on the jury. Also, no previous winner has ever sat on a jury, therefore, J.T. is the first (and only) winner to ever sit on the jury. This episode also marks the first time a previous winner (J.T., Parvati and Sandra) makes it to a merge.

    • Danielle won individual immunity and J.T. was voted out in this episode.
