Episode Summary

EDIT
After returning from Tribal Council, Erik thinks he can't trust the other "Favorites" on his tribe and Tracy agrees with Erik. This gives Ami the chance to possibly create an alliance with the "Fans". Over on Airai, Jonathan thinks his knee is slowly recovering. After Airai wins the Reward Challenge, the medical team looks at Jonathan's knee and recommends that he leaves the game. Jonathan agrees and so is out of the game in order to go to the hospital. But on Malakal, the "Favorites" complain about Tracy and Chet's work ethic during the challenge. Ami doesn't like all the negative comments and puts her trust in Erik and Tracy. On Exile Island, Jason finds the decoy immunity idol and thinks it's the real one. At the Immunity Challenge, Airai wins and at Malakal, Chet tells his tribemates to vote him out due to his own injury. But Erik thinks it would be better to vote out one of the bigger threats instead.moreless

  • Ep.6: Penner's injury gets worse, and Chet continues to be a ball of goo.

    8.0
As it turns out, Chekov's stitches come into play this week. After getting stitches, and hearing a nurse tell Jonathan Penner that he needs to be careful of an infection in his knee, we hear a second nurse tell Penner that his leg is infected and that he needs surgery. I had a feeling it was coming, despite Penner giving it his all in the reward challenge, but it still sucks. I feel Penner gets a bad rap because of the time he mutinied in Cook Islands, and then flipped to side with Yul, but he really loves the game and plays well.

Other than that, we also get Chet sucking the energy out of the episode. Chet is laughably weak, and it's quite obvious from the get-go that he's getting voted out. However, as usual, there's always a back-up plan running in the background that hints at a blindside. In this situation, Ami, Tracy and Erik attempt to convince Chet to stick around for one more week so they can get rid of Ozzy, the lynchpin of the Amanda/Parvati/James/Cirie alliance, but as it turns out, Chet is immovable in wanting to leave the game, and he's voted out.

An exciting episode, mostly because of Penner's exit. We also get Jason finding Ozzy's fake Idol on Exile Island. I'm just wondering how in the world someone can fall for such a fake-looking Idol. He has to know that the Idol doesn't stand out the way other Idols do. At least Yau-Man's had paint on it.moreless
  • So much drama again!

    10
Even thought this episode was insanely amazing, it is still only my second least favourite of the season, bcause the standard has been so high! Jonathan's injury was sad to see - he wasn't my favourite on Cook Islands, but I still enjoy watching someone play the game the way he does.

Meanwhile, Json found the fake Immunity Idol which might be absolutely hilarious later on! Can't wait to see that being played at Tribal Counil!

The challenges were both increidbly amazing, but Airai just ocntinues to dominate! I wonder if this will continue!

Tribal could've been really awesome today if Chet didn't give up - Ozzy could've been blindsided. Unfortunately the ending was a little anti-climatic, but all up, a great episode, and I cannot wait for more!!!moreless
  • Unfortunately, Jonathan has to leave the game.

    9.5
This episode kind of shifted the point of view in the game. The challenges were awesome and fun to watch, but unfortunately Malakal didn't win, who I was favoring. It was also funny to watch Jason think he found the immunity idol. The expression when he looked at it was classic. But it sucked that Jonathan had to leave the game. He wasn't my favorite survivor, but he made a strong addition to the Malakal tribe. It was pretty sad to see him go and say goodbye to everyone. But it wasn't sad to see Chet leave. I absolutely hated him, and I'm happy he's gone. But he supplied some good comic relief for being so dumb, so I'll give him that. All in all, fantastic episode!moreless

  • sad to see Jonathan go, but at least he went out with a bang!

    9.5
Jonathan was becoming my favorite this season and I was really sad to see him go. It would have been pointless for him to stay and risk further injury. At the challenge, Jonathan kicked butt. He could barely walk and he was doing as well as everyone else in his team. I'm really happy Chet is finally gone because he does nothing. He's just dead weight. I guess I'm now rooting for Ozzy. I wish Jonathan never got the injury. I think he would have gotten pretty far this season. Everyone liked him and he did great in challenges. Overall, sad episode but also happy because Chet is gone.moreless
