Episode Summary

EDIT
At the Fang campsite, Randy tries to get the others to eat only one meal a day since their supply of rice is getting low. He also thinks that "GC" is a "cancer" and should be removed while Matty's alliance of Randy, Susie and Dan look strong. The two tribes meet and Jeff tells them to rank their fellow tribemates in order of importance. After the results are announced, Jeff tells them both tribes will be mixing tribemates. Sugar is picked last and therefore, forced to Exile Island. The newly formed tribes return to their campsites and return to work as new alliances take shape. At the Immunity Challenge, Kota wins. Back at the Fang camp, Ace and "GC" note how badly the entire tribe performed during the challenge. But soon, talk later turns to who will be voted out. The original plan was for Ace, but Kelly and Jacquie are seen as weaker tribemates.moreless

  • Much better episode! A tribal swap and a nice blindside to boot!

    10
This was another great episode, and by far the best of the season thus far! I loved the Tribal Swap, and I love having Ace on the minority at Fang l. I can't stand that guy at all - he seems so fake - and I would love to see him gone before long.

So Kota dominates the challenge, and several members of Fang are literally going around in circles. Quite literally.

Meanwhile, Sugar gets to enjoy several days of Comfort, as she already has the diol and has to spend several days on Exile, so that worked out nicely for her!

Tribal was great. I like Jacquie, but Kelly is one of my favourites, so I was thrilled that Kelly survived and that Jacquie went. Hopefully Ace is next, although Sugar's idol as a concern. I like Sugar a lot, but I can't stand Ace at all.

Can't wait for the next one. This episode was great! And hopefully this season will continue to rise!moreless
  • Splitting up the tribes was a great move.

    9.5
Everyone getting settled in with their alliances was getting boring and we need to see everything get shook up. I loved how they rated how much of an asset everyone was to the tribe. Then it was interesting to see who picked who. The immunity challenge was funny because some people just couldn't figure it out. There was some good strategy in this episode and I found it really interesting to see whether they would get rid of Jackie of Kelly. The new tribe dynamics, where the people who were previously in control, no longer have control makes it so interesting.moreless
  • switches up early this season

    8.0
Well, the teams were switched around in this episode which makes everything all the more interesting. The challenge was to rank their tribe members. I was surprised with some of the ratings, but overall they were pretty accurate in my opinion. Anyways, then they picked new tribe members. I like the new tribes. I'm hoping that somebody's going to take out Ace because he annoys the crap out of me. I like Bob the most so far. . . . . Overall, a solid episode of Survivor that shook things up and it'll be interesting to see how things turn out.moreless
  • Really can't connect either.

    5.5
I think that Survivor is really showing it's age and that if it doesn't improve on this season or in the spring of 2009, we might see it go bye-bye. Even though the host, Jeff Probst has signed on until the 20th edition. He will be very lucky if he makes it so far. I just can't seem to connect with this group of people. As they seem so unlikable. And that really I can't seem to get into this season. That is the first time really I have seen an unlikable bunch. Since seasons 5 & 9, they make those groups look like angels.moreless

I don't think that I am going to enjoy this seaosn as much as the past four or five that have really gotten me back into this show after feeling like I was watching the same thing too often. It comes with the characters, whos drama makes up about 50% of the epsiode. I just don't feel it this season. There isnt a core group of people that Im connecting to and I dont feel like any are going to devolop. The water challenege could have been really good, but was a massive upseting dissapointment. Average episode in the books for me, other then the tribal switch there is nothing even new to talk about I dont feel.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • With Jacquie's ouster, this is the third time ever that the first four contestants eliminated in a season are female. It occurred first in Exile Island (Tina, Melinda, Misty, Ruth Marie) and then in Fiji, where the first five eliminated by Tribal Council vote were female (Jessica, Erica, Sylvia, Liliana, and Rita). Gary in Fiji was eliminated before Liliana, but his was due to medical reasons.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Jeff: (after Immunity challenge) Fang, without question, one of the worse performances I've seen at a challenge.

    • Randy: (to Kota tribemates, referring to upcoming Immunity challenge) I will do my best despite hating each and every one of you.

    • Ace: Kelly's devastated..." Why am I picked last? Why is everybody not kissing my ass?". Cuz you're a whiny little cow and, ummm, you don't do anything!

    • Ace: Tribal council is probably one of the most unpleasurable things I have done in recent history. It was, ahh, right there with my wisdom teeth being pulled.
