Nick: I've kind of felt invincible sometimes, and Survivor has taught me that I'm not at all.
Tina: (Casting a vote for Nick) You said that you were tired of the game, and that you weren't having fun anymore. So here's your ticket, buddy!
Tina: There's worse things in life than getting wet – like starving to death.
Jeff: You've got 13 days left, and I don't think you're gonna make it.
Elisabeth: I am feeling terrible, I'm shaking and weak, I couldn't even walk up the hill, and I am nauseous. We have nothing to sustain us. I am just really low.
Tina: (During the Immunity Challenge) There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza.
Tina: Rodger's been out fishing. Elisabeth's been out fishing. I've been out fishing. Has Nick been out fishing? Um…No!
Rodger: (About going to the bathroom) Boy, that felt good. Almost as good as eating that cheeseburger.
Nick: I'm gonna take a bath so the whole tent don't smell like ass.
Rodger: All good things come to those who wait.
Jeff: (About Colby) Once, twice, sold to Movie Star.
Elisabeth: (About the Reward Challenge) This is my favorite game in the whole world!
Keith: (About a grasshopper) I took a wing and a leg off.
Elisabeth: You did?
Keith: I was hungry.
Elisabeth: I'm almost at that point.
Colby: (About Keith and catching grasshoppers) I may have to go to the master, so he can teach young grasshopper how to catch grasshoppers.
Keith: (About catching grasshoppers) Show me Colby doing that. Cowboy can ride horses, but he can't do that.
Keith: (About Jerri) Ding, Dong, the witch is dead. (Whistles the rest)
Elisabeth: I think everybody here would bring back Jerri if we had rice to bring back with her.
Keith: Amber is a big girl; she made her decision early on to be close to Jerri, and there is nothing that can be done about it now.
Amber: I think that the group definitely isolated me from their decision because I was too close to Jerri. I felt sad not just because of Jerri leaving, but more so because my own tribe members don't trust me enough to let me know what's going on.
Everyone's a winner during the Reward Challenge, a Survivor Auction where the castaways bid real money for food that Jeff offers. Among the winnings are Colby's iced coffee and power bar, Elisabeth's chicken and mashed potatoes, Rodger's cheeseburger, and Amber's bid on the mystery item, a tall glass of river water.
Colby wins his first Immunity Challenge.
Nick is voted off in this episode and becomes the third person to join the jury. So far, Alicia, Jerri, and now Nick constitute the jury that will decide who wins the game.
After Jerri is voted out of the tribe, Keith sings "ding, dong, the witch is dead," and then whistles the rest. This is the song that the Munchkins sing in The Wizard of Oz, celebrating the death of the Wicked Witch of the East.
During the Reward Challenge, Jeff Probst sells a food item to Colby, saying, "Once, twice, sold to the Movie Star." Ironically, the nickname becomes a reality years later in the recently-released movie Red Eye, in which Colby Donaldson plays a security gaurd with a speaking part.
During the Immunity Challenge, Tina sings an old kid's song called "There's a Hole in the Bucket." She sings this because of the hole in the large bucket that the contestants need to fill up in order to win the competition.
