Episode Summary

EDIT

The morning after Tribal Council, both tribes choose two people to see the Redemption Island duel and when Christine sees "Coach", it gives her motivation to compete. After the duel, Brandon feels huge regret about lying to the others in order to try and vote Mikayla out. Brandon doesn't want to lie anymore and reveals to everyone on his tribe about his connection to Russell Hantz. But when Brandon argues with Mikayla in front of the others, the tribe start to wonder how similar he is to his uncle Russell. On Savaii, Ozzy feels Keith is a strong ally and tells him he has the idol. Keith then tells Whitney to try and gain her trust.

After Savaii lose the Immunity Challenge, Cochran and "Papa Bear" know they are the outsiders of the tribe and that either one will be voted out. After Ozzy tells Papa Bear that Cochran will be voted out, Papa Bear knows that's a lie andgoes on a desperate search for the idol. Although he doesn't find it, he makes a fake idol and tells everyone he has it. But Ozzy knows the truth since he already found the real idol.

  • Obvious Tribal Council but I enjoyed both challenges! (Caution for Spoilers ahead!)

    9.5
Survivor: South Pacific continues with another quite intresting show tonight. Firstly to the Brandond situation - while I like every single member of the Upolu tribe (Brandon included) I tend to think he is making a ridiculousl y high number of errors - first revealing his secret, then the tirade about Mikayla and I hope that he can turn it around, because I don't believe he is currently in a good position.

Over at Savaii, where I don't like almost everybody, things are very boring. Dawn and Whitney would have to be my two favourites on that tribe, closely followed by Elyse, and Jim is my least favourite player in the game. Cochran is getting a bit more interesting, veven though I would've preferred to have Semhar around.

The Redemption Island Duel was great - but I thought it was a very difficult challenge, considering that it was only still the first duel. I was hoping Semhar would win, but I like Christine also, so I am not overly disappointing with the outcome and result.

The Immunity Challenge was great! I really liked the format of it, particularly with the grappling hook part of the game. I twas wvery thrilled with the outcome as Upolu won, and I am hoping they will continue this momentum.

Changes in Opinion Since Episode 2:

The player to whom my opinion changed greatest this week was Keith. I was very impressed that ehe disclosed Ozzy's little secret to Whitney - its great to se e that he isn't riding coattails!

    Tribal Council:

Good idea by Papa Bear to fake the Idol, but with Ozzy already in control of the real idol, the plan was never going to work. Good luck to him at Redemption Island, but I'll be cheering for Christine.

Overall, interesting show, and interesting start ot the season thus far! Keep it up, Survivor (South Pacific)!!!smoreless
  • Mixed episode...Brandon got lucky, too lucky

    9.0
Yeah well, Russell was right this would have been the perfect season for him to be on, not Brandon...This guy is really fast in the challenges, you can see he likes working out, but social wise he is bad...Instead of passing by his mistake he keeps getting deeper and deeper and deeper...And tbh I think he won't make the merge, just because he keeps acting like a religious zelot...If you love your wife/gf/w.e then it's no point to get attracted by someone else in the tribe...I saw Russell surounded by the most beautiful women such as Danielle but he never felt threteaned like Brandon does now...His only chance is to find the idol, but I dunno if he has the predisposition...

And to be perfectly fair, Coach is wrong when he says Russell voted him out...As per the 8th episode, 20th season one can see pretty clearly that Russell voted for Courtney...Oh yeah you can argue that he may have insisted on the others voting for her aswell, but why?Coach was and is wishy-washy, undecided.moreless
