Episode Summary

EDIT

Stacey arrives on Redemption Island and tells Christine that "Coach" is in charge of the tribe. At the duel, the two competitors spill the beans to the spectators about Benjamin's control at Upolu, refusing to call him "Coach". Albert and Mikayla return to the tribe and tell everyone about theduel and what Stacey said which angers "Coach". Albert also feels worried after Stacey's comments, so he goes on a search for the idol after finding a clue. Albert reveals the clue to "Coach" and Sophie and after another search,"Coach" eventually finds the idol.

On Savaii, Elyse feels strong about the alliance she is in, but when Ozzy finds out that "Coach"is in charge at Upolu, he lets it slip that "Coach" should vote out a strong player next. Jim picks up on it and plans to warn Keith. Later, after a fishing trip, Ozzy is proud to be the provider of fish for the tribe.

Upolu arrive back at their beach after winning the Immunity/Reward Challenge and enjoy a nice salad and meat from the challenge. Over on Savaii, Ozzy thinks Cochran is the weakest link and should be next. But the secret alliance of Cochran, Dawn and Jim approach Keith to try and vote out Elyse, but Keith doesn't want to lose Ozzy's trust.

  • Elyse begins to feel very confident about her alliance. She will later find out she spoke too soon. At Redemption Island, Stacey's anger toward Coach is still as strong as ever and it shows at the start of the Redemption Island duel.moreless

There is a common occurence I have seen through out the entire run of Survivor. At some point in an episode, somebody boasts about how confident they are that they are not going to get voted out. Later at Tribal Council, they are voted out. That occurrence just showed itself in this episode. From the second Elyse voiced her confidence I knew she was gone. I wish I would stop seeing that device. It makes the episode so predictable. Benjamin, OOPS! I mean Coach (Please don't tell him I called him "Benjamin"!) is beginning to be the annoying player he has always been with his arrogance. Hopefully he will be brought back down to Earth soon. Ozzy may just be losing control of his tribe. I felt this season got off to a dull start. Maybe we have seen the first signs that is about to change.moreless
  • Game just got a bit more interesting...

    8.5
The blindside made me ascertain that this episode gave a new turn to Survivor...Moreover, the scenes from the next episode with Ozzy going emotional show that he may not be the favorite I thought he was...He isn't Boston Rob, and I agree with Cochran's assessment that he seems a bit older now, not the Cook Island Ozzy maybe a bit more lazy...He had most scenes lying in a bed wtf...I never saw Russell doing that...

About what Stacy said that it was Coach's fault for her being eliminated I totally disagree...It was her own fault for not looking hard enough for the bloody idol...She lost the Redemption challenge again due to her not being strong enough...

Not about the weighing, I was a bit upset on Jeff using a mechanical scale...That means it could be manipulated in a way to show a different winner...Why not use an electronic one?It would have been the best choice transparency wise...

Jim impressed me a lot by his play, he is paranoid a good quality on Survivor...He managed this blindside thing, but to be honest from what I saw Savaii will loose the next challenge and this means that Cochran will have to go...I don't think they will eliminate Ozzy...

I don't like Cochran but I think it would have been a better ally for Ozzy then Jim for example...Ozzy sucks when he behaves like a bully...

In connection with Upolu, I think Brandon -as showed in scenes from the next episode- might be in some danger...BTW is anyone else tired of seeing his cry?If he gets eliminated it was his fault.

  • Thinsg got much, much more interesting today with this episode. (Caution: SPoilers ahead!)

With Survivoer: South Pacific getting very predictable these last three weeks, today breathed some fresh air into the game, as we had our first blindside and it was a great one!

But first, to Upolu, where the Idol was finally found, and it kinda irritates me that both returning players have the respective Idols, even though I am glad that Coach has his one.

As for Savaii, it was certainly great to have Elyse knocked off. I didn't particularly like her, and at least now Ozzy has lost a key ally, and this should mean that the game takes an intresting turn.

As for Redemption Island, I was definitely a neutral spectator, as I liked both girls so much. Sad to see Stacey go home, she's so funny with the way she talks, "hunky dory" and "going to hell with gasoline drawers on" - wow, I thoroughly enjoyed wathching her, and the Mortician shall be Missed.

I certainly hope that Christinae beats out ELyse next week. I love everyone that has been on Upolu from the start and I don't like most of Svaii, except for Dawn and Whitney.

Should nbe interesting - hope that this season keeps getting better!moreless
