Episode Summary

After the tribe returns from Tribal Council, Russell is without an immunity idol and without confidence for the first time as he thinks he is out next. The next morning while Natalie is out for a walk, she find a rat and kills it for meat, surpring her tribemates. Meanwhile, Russell is convinced there is another idol somewhere and is determined to find it. Then, while some original Galu members are enjoying a reward, Russell sets out to find the second idol without any clues and surprisingly, he is successful. Later that afternoon, Russell shows the idol to "Shambu" and the two of them start a new alliance to vote out Laura. After the Immunity Challenge, Kelly is the target of a back-up plan. Russell then tells Jaison about the idol and Jaison tells the other former Foa Foa tribemates. Meanwhile, the former Galu members (minus "Shambo") are all in a tight alliance of their own and all agree to vote for Russell. As the Aiga tribe heads to Tribal Council, Russell is unsure about when to use his idol and the entire tribe seems split between the old Foa Foa and the old Galu.moreless

I haven't laughed so hard at a Survivor episode in such a long time. Russell never ceases to amaze me with his tactfulness, intellect, and obvious ability to play this game. In this episode, there is a reward challenge that members of the old Galu tribe win. Their reward is to visit a rock slide, and eat brownies and chicken. In the basket of food there is a clue stating that there is another hidden immunity idol back at camp. They decide to keep this information from the old Foa Foa tribe. What they don't realize, is that as they are feeling smug about this information, Russell is already back at camp searching for the hidden immunity idol which he KNOWS is there. "It has to be near some kind of landmark" Russell says as he frantically goes around searching for it, and eventually finds it tucked underneath a wooden bridge. Russell reveals the idol to members of the old Foa Foa tribe and plan to take out Laura knowing that the opposing side will most likely vote for Russell (at which point he would use the idol). Unfortunately Laura ends up winning individual immunity, and so Kelly is the next target.

Members of the old Galu tribe have NO idea that Russell has already found the immunity idol, and in fact, they mention how "surprised" they would be if he even knew there was an idol at camp. So, acting like the idiots they are, they vote for Russell at Tribal Council. Russell plays his idol and all votes against him are void. With three votes cast by the old Foa Foa tribe, Kelly is blindsided and gone from the game.

I'm excited to see next week's episode, as it is clear that the old Galu tribe is none too thrilled with how Tribal Council went LOLmoreless
  • I laughed so hard at this episode!

The title should say it all. Wished now that I didn't say that Galu didn't have much airtime due to this being the "Russell Hertz" show. Because now, despite being a jerk in all. Russell played the game and is playing it. Galu is really coming off cocky and overconfident. And think that they can get rid of Foa Foa really that easy. But instead, it lead to another blindside in Kelly, who along with Brett got less airtime. But this episode rocked as Galu was gunning for Russell, whom seemed to be saved by the bell with the second HII. As Shambo IMHO, looks like she will jump ship to Foa Foa as she feels more comfortable with them as her own tribe, is treating her like trash. Sure that she made them made but on the other hand, they are treating her like trash. The looks on Galu's faces....pricess!moreless
  • Since Russell used his immunity idol at tribal counsel when he didn't need to, the members of Galu become more confident that they are in command of the game and plan to vote Russell out. That is until Russell puts his skills into action once again.moreless

I agree and disagree with DERBEST. I disagree with the idea that there is a commonly held perception that all rich people are evil. Where DERBEST gets that from I have no idea. However, I could not agree more with DERBEST in his opinion of what an excellent player Russell is. He could very well be the best ever. However, this tribal counsel could be both a blessing and a curse for Russell. The Galu members are mad at him I'm sure and will make it their mission to vote him out at the next possible opportunity. Another great episode.moreless
  • wow - Russell never ceases to amaze

After the tribal council Russell lost his immunity idol and became a target. He was a threat - he was crafty. But they did not think that Russel could find the other idol, which he did. It was hilarious that their alliance was discussing trying to split the vote just in case Russell did find the immunity idol, but they brushed it off like it couldn't happen. At the tribal council, I was shocked to hear Dave bask Erik. Erik seemed like he was completely for that alliance and was completely pissed that Dave attacked him. I loved Erik's reaction when Russell brought out the idol. However, it is amazing that Laura keeps getting immunity. I want her gone, but oh well. The episode was the most amusing episode of Survivor that I ever remember seeing. I can only hope that Russell survives a little longer, though everything is against him.moreless
  • One of the greatest tricks I've seen in my short time of watching!

This episode was truly sensational in so many aspects. I was surprised that Russell managed to find the Immunity Idol once again, without a clue, while the Galu tribe did not even know what had hit them.

The beginning was awesome, when Natalie caught a rat. That was so epic and hilarious! She beat it to death with a stick!

I really enjoyed both challenges. The first was a mind teaser, and the second was a really interesting game of hooking, plus another mind teaser. I was personally frustrated when Laura won the Immunity, which destroyed the plans to get rid of her.

I really recommend watching this because the Tribal Council was sensational strategy from Russell, who played his Immunity Idol and all the votes of Galu tribe were not counted, leaving Kelly to be destroyed by the vastly outnumbered Foa Foa tribe.

Truly a great episode, and in my opinion, this is a must see! Great!moreless
