  • Looking like a classic season already

I guess we know who the villain is...whoo boy...he's enough to make Randy blush. Anyway, first episodes are always my favorite, a whole new cast of people to judge on very little information. My first impressions are this, i can't tell the difference between many of the young women, all seem the same right now. Same goes for the guys, i can barley remember one from the other. Those who did leave an impression? Russell H, obviously, this season's success will probably hinge on how far he makes it, at least for me. Back in the day I would cringe at the thought of someone like him making it far, but now I find the whole thing entertaining, I love villains. Shambo was also another character that caught my eye. I usually don't like the older ladies, but she seems to be a classic in the making. Ben and Erik seem like jack**** and probably won't make it to the merge. Russell S. and Betsey seem to nice and probably will also be out early. and Mike doesn't seem destined to make it far at all ( I said the same thing about Yau-Man, so take it with a grain of salt). I think Jaison will be the winner this season, mainly because he seems to have fantastic athletic ability, doesn't rub people the wrong way and seems smart enough. Next week Predictions
Reward: um i forgot the tribe names...the one with the black Russell
    Immunity: same

  • Gotta love Russell.

I enjoyed this first episode of the 19th season a lot. Especially since its an opportunity to see a guy who can win it just for the sake of it not for the money.
Russell is by far the most fascianting. That thing about burning the sucks, drinking the others was a nice stunt. His downfall might come by him trying to play the game to much, people seem not to trust him and they suspect him. In my opinion the best tactic would be to lay low and act as friendly as possible, get 2,3 maybe 4 people he can trust and try build an alliance but without other suspecting.
There are some interesting characters, but without Russell, season 19 would loose its magic.moreless

  • Russell is something!

Indeed Russell is something. Not just he is rude, crude, crass, and caviliar. But also he is a sexist pig that needs to go. And hope and pray that his tribe will find out his lies. Because you don't lie about something like Katrina where a lot of people suffered that. And that he really is using that to feel sorry for himself. Only Betsy isn't fooled but like Marisa, who was the first to go. She will be a goner. Erik the rocket scientist and Ben the bartender country hick, are also being jerks. As both will be the first to go if they don't straighten out!moreless

  • The ninteenth season begins on the remote island of Samoa. Twenty strangers are divided into two tribes named Galu and Foa Foa.

Each season of "Survivor" begins in its own unique way which is what adds to its appeal. I like how this season started with the tribes electing a leader. Seeing how the tribes came together once they reached their camps was also very interesting. As far as Foa Foa is concerned, I hope for their own sake that they see the light about Russell. At least one person on the tribe has the brains to be suspicious of him. I don't understand Russell's strategy, but who knows? It might just work for him. Definitely going to be an interesting game.moreless

  • This show is showing it's age, so they expand the cast, put it in a beautiful place and introduce a bad guy that would make Jonny Fairplay blush.

    "Great"
I watched the show twice, and the start was interesting, having to decide on a leader without speaking to anyone, and then picking members for a reward challenge with the same restrictions.
The start was much better than other years, I liked it a lot, we got to know a little about the some of the players.
There are a lot of nondescript players, they just blend into the background. I do recall Shambo, but other names elude me. The dreadlock guy, the Afro American law student and the doctor made an impression, but of course Russel. While he may be the most vile player to ever play the game, I think his days are numbered, at least hope so.
The one glaring problem with one hour season premiers is that you do not get to know much about the players, some of them I have no clue who they are.moreless
