Episode Summary

EDIT
The tribe gets tree mail that includes a video of a family member for each castaway. Then, "Fabio", Chase and "Sash" agree that if one of them wins the Reward Challenge, they would all go together. At the Reward Challenge, the castaways met their loved ones and after Chase and his mother win the challenge, he chooses "Sash" and Holly to go with him. Back at camp, "Fabio", Dan, and Jane were very upset at Chase's choices, especially "Fabio" who thought Chase would have kept his promise. While, Chase, Holly, and "Sash" are enjoying their reward with their loved ones, they all agree to go to the final three together and vote out "Fabio" next. But after "Fabio" wins the Immunity Challenge, the new three-person alliance of Chase, Holly, and "Sash" must now change their vote. Chase was conflicted between voting for Dan or Jane, while "Fabio", Holly and "Sash" agreed to vote out Jane. Then, while Chase, Holly, and "Sash" are talking, Jane joined them wanting to know if the alliance of four was still strong. The three of them hesitated in their answer until finally admitting that they were indeed thinking about voting for her. After finding out that she had been betrayed by her alliance, Jane let her anger known and dumped a bucket of water on the camp fire. At Tribal Council, Jane let it all out telling Jeff that she was the next to go and that the new three-person alliance will vote out "Fabio" or Dan after she is gone. Jeff suggested that "Fabio", Dan, and Jane should form their own alliance to vote Holly and force a tie. But after the tribe votes, Chase and "Sash" use their immunity idols and Jeff's proposed alliance fails to form.moreless

  • As the finale approaches emotions run high, alliances are formed and destroyed and the backstabbings continue. One castaway, knowing they will be voted out at Tribal Council, does not hesitate to let their feelings be known.moreless

Call me insensitive, but I hate the episodes of Survivor where the contestants get a visit from family members. Seeing the castaways get all teary eyed and emotional is a turn off for me. When I see such episodes, I think of something Homer Simpson said in a first season episode of The Simpsons: "Where am I? The Planet Cornball?" I know that's not very polite, but I am not going to lie. As is the case with past episodes, the saving grace here is the terrific Tribal Council. Imagine how Tribal Council will be at the finale. Just imagine.moreless

Let's listen to Mr. Meathead704 and say we don't miss Russell...Russell would have eliminated Jane 100 times by now...So hard for them to eliminate Jane, so bloody hard omg...because this season's players are so good right?Seeing Chase's behaviour in the Tribal Council, acting so nooby made me realise what lame players are left..They weren't even able to eliminate Jane without arousing her suspicion...I really hope Dan will start playing more...This episode he started to and in the next episode he seems to be doing as well...The plan is still into motion with both Dan and Sash being still in the game...If Fabio looses immunity there is a chance Dan might not be eliminated...But I doubt Sash+Chase will try to eliminate Holly...This alliance guarantees a top 3 for each of them...Should be hard but not impossible...with Fabio gone then Holli might be the one to go and uncle Dan could win...Yeah I know it would be retarded in a way...But neither Sash nor Chase deserve to get it to be honest.

Disclaimer: In the past I heard of cases where Survivor episodes were presented in a different way than how it actually happened. If this is the case it might be understandable why these players seem retarded.moreless
  • Finally the hypocrite Jane is gone. Sash or possibly Fabio to win it all. Holly the dark horse.

I love how delusional Jane is. I love when contestants say they've been honest all game and haven't backstabbed or lied or anything when they actually have (see Marty).

This episode really worked out well for Fabio and Sash. In a final three with Holly, Chase and Fabio/Sash, the later will likely get Jane's vote now, probably part of Sash's plan all along.

Sash is playing this game brilliantly. After dominating the game from Day 1, he saw 3 of his strongest allies wiped out in a couple of days, but managed not only to stay alive, but to rebuild himself into a strong alliance. He is smart, charming and charismatic. He didn't really have any true bond/alliance with Jane (until last week), so the only person he's screwed is Brenda. I still think it was a good move keeping the idol for himself that day, although she'll ask why he didn't use it to save her and keep their alliance. Luckily for him, he'll have the Naonka/Kelly Purple quitting excuse to partially redeem himself. I see Sash winning this game against anyone except perhaps Fabio. Holly is playing, I think, a very good game. She's allied with the right people and never had anyone try to vote her out once allied with them. However, if Fabio wins immunity, she may be out. It depends on the men in her alliance and their perception of her friendships with the jurors. I see her as the dark horse, who, after an awful start, has REALLY turned it around... It was good, though, for Jane to remind people of her initial thieving ways. haha

Chase is whoosy-washy, so much so that I doubt he will get enough votes, especially from intellectual jurors like Marty, Brenda and Alina, who won't vote for his dumb ass. I think most other players WANT him in the Final 3 because they think they could beat him. I think Sash wants to be in it with Chase and Dan, virtually guaranteeing himself the million.

This alliance of 3 "said" they were going to vote out whoever loses immunity between Dan and Fabio. Wrong. It seems clear to me that, for Sash at least, Dan is a red herring to bring along. He has absolutely no chance of winning the Final immunity challenge.

The interesting question is whether or not Dan, who is VERY well liked by all, can win Survivor based simply on his charisma. I wonder how strong an argument he could make in his favor considering his absolutely, probably Survivor-worst, horrible effort/results at challenges. Who knows, Dan could win it all. I think if he makes the Final 3, though, that he gets 1 or 2 votes. FABIO! Is Judd his real name? Sounds wrong somehow. Love Fabio. He is this year's "Ozzy" in the sense of being non-scheming and non-cutthroat. Not being in control of the game will actually work IN his favor if he makes the Final 3, which I think the others realize. I'm SURE everyone, maybe even Dan, want him gone next, for they, correctly, fear that he will win it all. If he can win the next two immunities, I say he's the winner. Although I still think Sash is easily the most deserving. I look forward to seeing how Sash will manipulate the rest of this game, as he has all along, to his advantage.moreless
  • These people are on Survivor, and they don't even know how to lie... Honestly, Fabio is the smartest person left, and THAT is saying something. (Beware of Spoilers if you haven't seen this episode!)moreless

Well, what can I say! I'm disappointed to see Jane leave, because she was loveable and intelligent. She truly deserved the million bucks, but I guess everyone knew she'd get voteds.

I think Chase should stop promising people things if he will not live up to those promises. If you're not gonna take someon, don't tell them that you will. Just be honest - it's something very minor that could potentially cost you a million dollars.

I can't believe that Holly, Sash and Chase actually told Jane that they would be backstabbing her! These people are on Survivor and they don't even know how to lie! It just goes to show the stupidity of this cast!

I'm also immensely shocked that Fabio and Dan didn't vote with Jane to take out Holly, because they should realise that they will be nesxt!

Anyways, I'm really glad that Jane put out the fire. Goign out with a bang, in my opinion.

I really hope Holly takes the money. I think Sash is a totaly arrogant snob, and he deserves to go home next. Chase (although I like him) is clueless and has no idea what he's doing. Fabio (although I didn't like him from the beginning) is probably now my second favorite, because he is far more intelligent than Chase or Sash. And as for Dan, he's just... there. Not really doing anything, but it would be perfect, in my opinion, if Dan were to win, in order to teach these people a lesson.

It's moments like these when you begin to miss people like Parvati, and even Russell... :(moreless
