You've obviously never watched a single episode of Survivorman, so I'll forgive you for your ignorance.

What he does is carry ~50 lbs of carry equipment, sets them up for a shoot, shoots the film, and then goes back to retrieve it. There was an entire episode on how he filmed the series all by himself - him walking off in the distance and then another clip of him walking back to retrieve the camera.

He's not a lier like the producers of Man vs Wild. I like Bear Grylls and all, but spending a night at Hilton Hotel because the weather got windy?!?! That's just pathetic...

You can see the multiple cameras that Les sets up at the remote locations. They are pretty small. He really is all alone out there.

Bear Grylls has a camera man with him so he's in a bit less danger.

He also carries a camera that he hooks up to himself while walking which is the angle that you get when the camera is obviously moving with him. I know a lot of people think that he has someone walking alongside him but he doesn't. The only link he has to the outside world is his Spot satellite messenger in case he absolutely had to use it... which he has yet had to do.

That's because he has multiple cameras. In some of the shots on the show you can see them.

That makes sense. He takes all the action shots of him in the wild trying to survive. The other stuff is taken at other points in time while he isn't trying to survive.

First of all if you bother watching the show in the beginning of the episode he is usually walking with a crew just before he heads out on his magical adventure of survival, so hes not just lugging this crap alone to the location. This is usually where the shots are taken from. Secondly occasionally while watching the show you will notice the cameras screwing up or something that if someone else was in-charge of cameras wouldn't't likely happen, unless your a conspiracy nut heh. Plus he really spends time settign the stuff up.
