A truly excellent episode with desperation, fear, love and compassion all thrust at you in a realistic and uncompromising way by a cast who all manage to present utterly engaging characters. Superb stuff.
**Spoiler alert - this review contains hints at the episode storyline** This episode struck just the right balance in building the uncertainty of Sarah and her growing fear without straying into predictable dramatics. You really feel the growing desperation with the characters, and the heartbreak at the end feels heart wrenchingly real. I haven't been this engaged by a uk drama in a long time and I think huge congratulations are in order to the writers and actors. This series continues to deliver in believable, well thought out storylines that really make you care for the characters, and think about the moral questions it throws up - how far would you go to survive and how do you keep hold of your humanity in the face of horror and desperation. Classic drama.
