AIRED:
Professor Hackle intends to reprogram the Metallikats to be good, but Mac and Molly escape from his lab before he can. In search of their armored hovercraft, the Metallikat Express, they wind up in the salvage yard near Jake 'n' Chance's Garage. There, they inadvertently discover the hidden Swat Kats hangar and thus uncover the secret identities of the vigilantes themselves! Chance and Jake, in their civvies, must defend their own base from the murderous, mechanical gangsters. Although their bodies are destroyed, the Metallikats survive as disembodied heads crawling around on spiderlike legs, and eventually take control of two Puma-Dyne Macrobots, giant and powerful space exploration robots, and begin to trash the city. Now, the Swat Kats must stop the Metallikats from revealing their secret and save the city!moreless

This has gotten to be one of the best episodes in the series. The Metallikats return and find out the Swat Kats idenities hough I'm not sure why they never used it to they're advantage in later apperances. Of course the Swat Kats or actually Jake and Chance stopped them but the Metallikats got away as robot heads and nearly destroyed Megakat City but Razor as always stopped them. I was slightly suprised that Feral decided not to learn the true idenities of the Swat Kats so I guess he isn't as dense as I thought. Above all this was a great episode and a must see for fans.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • In this episode the color of the tunnel's door doesn't match the color of the ground it's in, making it completely noticable. The tunnel's door has always been the same color as the ground it's in, although the outlines can be seen

    • When Mac is on his feet wondering why there's a tunnel, you can see a piece of metal preventing the tunnel's door from being fully closed

    • The Metallikat Express was parked right next to the Turbokat tunnel so close that the Metallikats have to walk over the tunnel's door in order to get to the driver's door. When Molly went to the front door and Mac went to the back of the vehicle, they should have felt the hollow ground under their feet, but they don't do so until Mac walks over it, taking the same path he did when going to the back of the vehicle

    • Razor made the Moll Missiles out of diamonds. Where did he find diamonds with his lousy mechanic salary? No one would be that stupid to throw away diamonds at salvage yard.

    • The Moll Missiles look differently here, then they did in The Wrath of Dark Kat.

    • Commander Feral asks a presumably offscreen Enforcer Sergeant something, but it's a nondescript Enforcer Commando who answers.

  • QUOTES (11)

    • (The Metallikats have escaped from Professor Hackle's lab again)
Professor Hackle: (sighs) Why must all of my good intentions always lead to disaster?

    • Mac: Hey, doc. What're you fiddling with? You already fixed us up.
Professor Hackle: Not quite, my friends. When I activated you, I had no idea you two had gangster personalities. But these computer discs will remove all of your criminal tendencies.
Molly: (whispering to Mac) I don't like the sound of this.
Professor Hackle: The two of you will demonstrate how helpful robots can be to katkind. See there? (he points to two pair of clothes nearby) Mac, you will be my chauffer. Molly, you will serve as housekeeper.
Mac: (To Molly)We gotta get outta here.

    • Professor Hackle: (gasps) Oh my word. Now those fools have done it.
      Molly: Done what, doc?
(Hackle uses the TV remote to zoom in on 2 large robots standing dormant in the background)
Professor Hackle: (sighs) They actually built the giant robots I designed for the space program.
Molly: (in amazement) Whoa, now those are robots.
Mac: Yeah, doc. How come we couldn't have big, strong bodies like them?
Professor Hackle: (with an angry tone in his voice) My macrobots were designed to explore other planets. But Puma Dyme wanted to use them for destructive purposes. That was the final straw. That's why I resigned. But now those fools must learn to understand.
      (Professor Hackle leaves the room)
Molly: All I understand is, we gotta get outta here before he gets back.

    • Razor: Launching scrambler missile... NOW.
(A scrambler missile is aimed at the Behemoth, shorting out the tank's controls upon impact
Hard Drive: No. My controls are shorting out.
Razor: Yeah, a million megavolts will do that, ya little creep.

    • Molly: Making you a chauffer? The way you drive? HA! That's hilarious.
Mac: Yeah, well it ain't any dumber than you doing housework. When was the last time you cleaned anything?
Molly: I can clean your clock, tough guy.
(All this time, the Metallikats are driving in Professor Hackle's old beaten down truck)
Mac: What a piece of junk. We gotta get some decent wheels.
Molly: Yeah. And then we settle our score with Megakat City. Hey, I think they towed our Metallikat Express to that big salvage yard, remember?
Mac: Do I ever? That hovercraft has enough hardware to waste this whole town. Salvage yard, here we come.
Molly: (Laughing to herself) Making you a chauffer. HA! HA! HA...

    • Mac: (Spying on Chance, Jake, Burke and Murray) Duelin' lowlifes.
Molly: Come on. Let's get our wheels and blow this dump. It'll be a public service.

    • Hard Drive: (Riding the Behemoth) Aww. Why the hassle, Feral? I'm just giving your new toy a new test run. (Hard Drive laughs as he knocks down two Enforcer tanks) Oh yes, it handles nice. (He runs down two Enforcer cars) Great suspension too. I can't even feel the bumps.

    • Razor: Callie said the Metallikats are making a run for Puma Dyme Labs.
T-Bone: PUMA DYME?! AGAIN? What is that place, psycho central?

    • Molly: (To a bodyless Mac) I think you drive better without a body, Mac, but don't let it go to your head.
Mac: Very funny. This electrified link should get us to Puma Dyme in a hurry.
      Molly: Puma Dyme?!
Mac: We need new bodies, right?
Molly: DUH. I can't spend the rest of my life shoppin' for hats. So?
Mac: So, snookums. We're gonna plug ourselves into those giant robot bodies and become bigger and badder than ever.
Molly: Aww, I love it. Then we can get even with those Swat Kats once and for all.

    • Molly: I take back what I said before. You're driving clumsier than ever. And it's starting to give me a headache.
      Mac: So is your yammering.

    • Mac Mange: Wow, Molly! That Feral hates the Swat Kats even more than we do!
Molly Mange: Why shouldn't he, Mac? Those fighter jocks make him look stupid at least once a week!
