This episode marks Red Linx's first and only appearance.
(The Red Lynx's plane was shot down)
T-Bone: Heh, the old Lynx was good. But T-Bone was even better.
Razor: Well, you did have a high tech advantage with the Turbokat.
T-Bone: (Arrogantly) Razor, it's the pilot. Not the plane.
Razor: (Worried) If I agree, would you promise not to watch that old tape again?
(Razor fires a missile at the Red Lynx, who easily avoids it)
T-Bone: Looks like ya missed, sure shot.
Razor: Uh, not completely.
(The missile slams into a jeep, knocking Commander Feral into the water after he had just climbed out)
Red Lynx: Manx is mine.
T-Bone: Over my dead body.
Red Lynx: Mine's already dead.
T-Bone: That does it! This guy's deadmeat!
Razor: Yeah. Tell us something we don't already know!
The passing shadow of Red Lynx when approaching the Blue Manx reminds of Nosferatus shadow.
Dockworker: Kats Alive! That's an old Mega War II fighter plane!
"Mega War II" is obviously the cat planet's equivalent of World War II.
Abner Doolittle: He was no hero, sonny. He was the most evil cat who ever took to the air: the Red Lynx!
The Red Lynx is a parody of Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, alias the Red Baron, a famous German air ace from World War I.
Ann Gora: I'm here with Mega War II veteran Abner Doolittle...
Lt. Colonel James H. Doolittle led an attack on Japan following Pearl Harbor, in April of 1942. Abner's last name is an homage to both him and the so-called Doolittle Raid.
Abner Doolittle: The Red Lynx and the Blue Manx were goin' at it tooth and nail!
The Blue Max was, during World War I, the highest honor a German aviator could receive.
