SWAT: Miami Dade

Show Summary

SWAT: Miami Dade is the Current TV series that follows the men and women of Miami-Dade's Special Response Team, as they take on some of America's meanest streets. Current TV was created in 2005 by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and businessman Joel Hyatt. Current TV began with a unique style of programming, with "pods", short programs which were often created by viewers. Users submitted short pods on a variety of subject matter, and Current's website offered voting to see which would make it on-air. In 2009, Current changed to offer more traditional programming, switching from short pods to 30 minute block programming, though some elements still remain. Their series SWAT: Miami Dade documents the tough streets of Miami, where drug trafficking and gang voilence plague the communities. Using tactical precision, state-of-the-art weaponry and a healthy dose of street smarts, these elite officers do their best to take down potentially deadly suspects. Tune in to see Miami's best as they try to clean up their mean streets on SWAT: Miami Dade.moreless
