Episode Summary

EDIT
While leading the team in the rescue of several women being held hostage by two known killers in a massage parlor, Lt. Harrelson is grazed by a bullet across his temple. He stubbornly refuses an EEG, 24 hours hospitalization and taking time off for tests until dizziness and blurred vision hospitalize him. His command is temporarily taken over by Lt. Purcell, whose methods and personality have a demoralizing effect on the entire S.W.A.T. team.moreless

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Hondo's bullet wound is dressed and covered up with a very promenent bandage. It is clearly seen as he and the rest of the team are running out to the van, yet the scene immediately following shows them outside running to the van, and Hondo no longer has his bandage.( The stock footage was used, resulting in the error)

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Luca: Well, it's happened again.
        McCabe: What's happened again?
Luca: Old Dominic is the first one in.
McCabe: You're the first one in? What do I look like - an extra coat rack?
Luca: Nah, you don't count TJ, you're bucking for a promotion. Me, I'm content with my position. You know what I mean?
McCabe: (continuing to read the newspaper) Nope.
Luca: I mean, I'm happy to be the sexiest member of the team. I don't want the added responsibility or authority of increased rank. Just being lovable and popular is enough for me. I'm not bucking for anything.

      • Luca: So, why do we have to be here at the crack of dawn?
McCabe: Because you love your job.
Luca: What would it hurt if we didn't have to report until, say, nine o'clock? I mean, what do we have to be penalized for? We're the good guys. Nobody commits a crime this early. Even the bad guys are in bed now.
        (McCabe laughs)

      • (after Lt. Harrelson is grazed by a bullet)
Kay: You are going to the hospital to have that crease checked out.
        Lt. Harrelson: Yeah, Yeah.
Kay: Just checking to make sure.
Lt. Harrelson: I said yes. Stop nagging, Deke, you've got the wrong build for a mother.

      • Doctor: A half inch more, and it would be coroner examining you.
        Lt. Harrelson: Yeah?
Doctor: Yeah. Just let me get this bandage on. There, that should do it.
(Lt. Harrelson moves to get up)
Doctor: No, what's the rush? Lie back down and rest. Even if nothing seems to be busted, you got creased by a bullet. I'm going on record as telling you you should check in for 24 hours. Now the skull series is normal, no fractures. But you should get yourself an EEG; get all those brain waves measured. It'll tell us if anything's wrong.
Lt. Harrelson: Look. I'm OK. If I wasn't, I'd be the first to know it, wouldn't I? Now look, if I have any headaches or...
        Doctor: dizziness, blurred vision
Lt. Harrelson: Right, anything like that, I'll come back and do the EEG, OK?
Doctor: No, not as far as I'm concerned. At least take some time off. Stay at home.
Lt. Harrelson: Look, Doc, you might as well prescribe a four week foreign cruise. It'd make as much sense. Look, I'm OK. I'm fine (shakes Doctor's hand and leaves) Thank you.

      • (seeing Lt. Harrelson taking pills)
        Street: Hey, are you OK?
Lt. Harrelson: (snapping at Street) I wish everybody around here would start minding their own business. Yes, I'm fine. Those were aspirin I took, not penicillin.
        Street: Yes, sir.
Lt. Harrelson: Street. I'm sorry. I ah, I appreciate your concern. I guess all these reports are getting to me.
