I found it extremely clever and touching how they made the episode silent. Even when the hearing people were talking, you couldn't hear a word and was forced to read subtitles. Giving a small glimpse into the life of the deaf. Having to focus on the words at the bottom of the screen instead of being able to hear, something I am sure we all take for granted. It really emphasizes on how special Carlton is to all the kids in the school. How important it is for them to be able to continue to go to a school where they feel safe and comfortable. Like they said in the episode, no one can understand until they walk 1 day in their shoes. This episode is far from a day in their shoes or even an hour. But it's a miniscule idea of how they could feel. Excellent episode.
