This episode set your emotions on a roller coaster. From warm and content, to enraged and sad in less than a second. So much development for a side character is one thing, but then to kill him off is outright shocking. Lance and Ilana are hit real hard in this, and Lance actually flips out. The final scene didn't need sound, as you could tell amidst the silence all the pain and rage Lance was experiencing at once.

To say this episode wasn't profound would be an insult, as it gave you everything necessary. Octus was an enjoyable character, and instead of being just a tool used, he was developed. This was one of my favorite episodes, and I look forward to the complete series should it ever come to DVD.moreless

I mean wow! They warn you in the beginning and you think that they were going to fake us out in the end like the Demon Within but no! Octus dies and thats it. His life force energy doesn't spark back, he doesn't use a hologram to save Lance, and he doesn't have a shield to protect him. After Octus dies, Lance goes insane, kills the energy creature, and then it cuts to credits. Thats it...

What I love about Sym Bionic Titan is that not only the side character whos purpose was to just be a tool actually has human development, the show also keeps you guessing and you wonder whats going to happen next. I wonder what Kimmy will say to all of this and will his funeral be in the form of Octus, Newton, or Mr. Lunas

I think Octus is going to come back to life at one point... hopefully.... but if he doesn't that will be one hell of a surprise.moreless
