AIRED:

When the team investigate the apparently motiveless murder of a mechanic, suspicion soon falls on the victim's friend and business partner when his car is found abandoned at a notorious suicide spot by the river, but the search for a washed-up body draws a blank. A tip-off puts D.I. Ross on the trail of infamous gangsters the Callaghan brothers, and it leaves a mystery about the fake death.

  • The Callaghan Brothers come out of jail to reek revenge on the people who had grassed and set them up

This must be one of the most gruesome Taggarts of all time.

I would call this almost in a Tarintino mode, lots of blood ,chopping of limbs and best of all a couple of twists in the plot. The Callaghan brothers (played by Real life brothers Tom and Jordan Murphy ) are maybe small in stature but they make up for it with sheer unadultarated violence and almost phsycotic tendencies toward their victims,to get the results that they desire, nothing or nobody is going to stand in their way,and they have to of the biggest minders I have ever seen to make sure this happens. With this in mind ,it brings out Robbies humour when they approach Callaghans mansion to be met with the two minders, the big bald white guy (who was called Tiny !!!),and the muscle bound coloured guy ..Robbie said "My god its kojak and the A-team..." absolutey fantastic viewingmoreless
