A screenwriter bumps into an actress who happens to live across the hall from him at his apartment and instantly falls in love with Miranda, but that's not the case for her. After numerous attempts to get her attention, Edward accidentally blows it by having another one of his fantasies that start to happen whenever she's around. The mysterious, ever-watching landlord notices, and offers Edward some help. He gives Edward a love potion to have Miranda drink. Edward cooks up a story about being sorry, and offers the drink. He quickly dumps the potion into her drink before she drinks it. It takes a little bit, but all of a sudden, Miranda falls hopelessly in love with Edward. It seems she wants sex -- constantly. It's not long before Edward is exhausted and wants it to stop. Edward goes back to the landlord, and he offers a solution: poison. Almost reluctantly, Edward takes it, and dumps it into a drink. Miranda notices that Edward's glass is a bit dirtier, and switches the drinks (not realizing hers was poison). Edward swigs down his drink, eager to be rid of her. That, unfortunately, is the case. He drank the poison, and dies. He finds himself wandering in Heaven. Maybe now he can get some peace and quie...oh wait. Miranda appears! She says she threw herself out the window. So now Edward is stuck in the afterlife with a mutilated woman hopelessly in love.
