A New Lease On Life
AIRED:
A man is overjoyed to find a nice apartment with all the modern conveniences at an incredibly cheap price. The eccentric landlady asks nothing more than for the man to provide her with plenty of garbage for the disposal unit. The man is puzzled when the walls ooze blood after he attempts to hang a picture with a nail and hammer. He is further disturbed when the floor shakes as he hears an ominous roar bellow throughout the building complex. He soon realizes that the building itself is a living entity that survives on the trash created by the tenants. Angered by the situation, the man fills a garbage bag full of household cleaners with the intent of poisoning the entity. He throws the bag into the disposal unit and the creature begins to roar. Suddenly, the landlady confronts the man with her two sons and they throw the man into the disposal, providing the beast with a full course meal.moreless

  • 'Feng Shui' taken to the extremes

    8.1
Basically aside from what the episode recap already mentioned, I have to say it was an ok episode. Of course the guy would be skeptical over such a cheap rent fee per month and not listen to what the landlord would say as the idea of the rules were silly because the show would be boring if the main character actually conforms to the rules rather than to break them.

What was a shame was the neighbor was wasted in those few appearances before being sent down the chute herself. However, the end was pretty funny with one of the maintenance men saying "And I find this last one especially hard to stomach." and everyone including the 'building' laughing as well.moreless
  • A man moves into a very nice apartment for a great price, but the house is very lively

    6.3
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that if your house growls and makes noises like an animal, that it is alive! Obviously, the guy in this story never catches on to this at the beginning. This episode may not be scary to adults, but it is juvenile in writing, so it may appeal more to younger kids. It is the kind of story that may have been scary when I was ten, but it just seems silly the older I get. It was a good idea, with the bleeding walls, that sounded good and creepy on paper, but looks ridiculous when it is actually seen. This makes for a better scary story than a TV story. My question is, is that water they are drinking the monsters saliva?moreless
