  • A man who is running for office checks into a hotel where he keeps hearing circus music playing in one of the worst episodes of Tales from the Darkside.

This episode is a missed opportunity if this episode was trying to say that all politicians are a big joke. This episode is not scary, nor is it intended to be, but more of a statement that doesn't say anything and a story that doesn't make sense. He checks into a hotel before he begins his campaign, but hears circus music playing in the background. His clothes are brought to his room, but they are big and cartoonish. Once again, this is no place for this type of episode. Tales from the Darkside was based on Creepshow, not Bozo's Circus.
  • A southern politician gets a new job more worthy of his talents.

A none-too-subtle and surreal satire on the world of politics, this ep probably is not going to please most fans of TFtD. It's one of those 'humorous' sort of episodes that the Twilight Zone delved into every now and then, and of which few are really successful. A one-joke, it makes it's point quickly, and then never really goes anywhere further. Dick Shawn is game for his role as a fast-talking, but not too bright, politician. If only all of them could be dealt with this easily. With better writing this might have been a classic, but as it is it's just occasionally amusing, and not sharp enough to pop a circus balloon.
