One of the best episodes the series had produced. It encapsulates everything the series did in episodes: It has a morality tale, a dash of the supernatural, decent actors, and a memorable finale.
Jeff Conaway who strangely like Peter was not a big actor plays a struggling wannabee vampire writer not selling any books. He meets a real life vampire Count Draco who offers to give him his real life vampire tales in exchange for him staying at his place.
The two have a business relationship until Peter thinks he can kill the vampire and then keep all the credit and money he's made for himself.
This is a kind of standard thing nowadays someone pours in all the hard work but someone else makes the money. Plus you never do realize when you are buying someone's product if it is really their own work.
This episode has a lot of great atmosphere. Anytime the vampire is on screen he has a strong presence. Peter is just a jerk from start to finish. You would think he'd be more grateful about what the vampire does but he doesn't.
There's a nice exchange of insults between the two especially when the vampire tells Peter that his work is crap.
The finale was also memorable in a way it's an ode to vampire movies but this was still great to watch because of the different twist in the end.
Tales did another vampire episode in "Strange Love" which was also decent. All in all this is one of the best episodes of the series for my taste.moreless
