Episode Summary

EDIT
Slippage
AIRED:
A young ad-design artist begins to literally "slip" out of reality. Slowly but surely he seems to be fading out of existence: first his payroll checks disappear, then his high school not only fails to mail him about their reunion, but has no records of his existence. The artist soon realizes that since he's drifted through life, he's basically "slipping through the cracks". Even his mother has no memory of him. At the end, even his wife and best friend (now the woman's husband in this new reality) forget he ever existed.moreless

  • A man discovers that he's disappearing from other peoples' memories.

    9.0
Sort of the ultimate nightmare (or reality?) for those with low self-esteem, this is the existential story of a man who discovers he is being erased from the memories of everyone he knows. David Patrick Kelly, typecast in films like 48 Hours and Dreamscape as a villain, is well-cast in a sympathetic role. His gradual journey into nothingness is actually quite believable as he goes through denial, anger, and, ultimately, acceptance of his fate and an understanding that his very existence was a mistake. This final conclusion is actually what gives the story it's power and haunts and disturbs long after one has finished watching it.moreless
