Sort of the ultimate nightmare (or reality?) for those with low self-esteem, this is the existential story of a man who discovers he is being erased from the memories of everyone he knows. David Patrick Kelly, typecast in films like 48 Hours and Dreamscape as a villain, is well-cast in a sympathetic role. His gradual journey into nothingness is actually quite believable as he goes through denial, anger, and, ultimately, acceptance of his fate and an understanding that his very existence was a mistake. This final conclusion is actually what gives the story it's power and haunts and disturbs long after one has finished watching it.
