A real oddity, this ep has an interesting cast (Jessica Harper, probably most well-known to genre fans from "Suspiria", Eric Bogosian in a bit part, and Victor Garber, currently starring in 'Alias'), a strange, almost hypnotic build-up, and a very frustrating ending. The idea of a person who collects tears to ease sadness in the world is intriguing and original, and Garber's performance has a nice blend of melancholy and sympathy. Why Harper's character turns on him in the end is mystifying, and the conclusion just doesn't make sense. Perhaps too 'soft' and sensitive a story for this series, it at least does make for thoughtful discussion, for those inclined.
