About 7 minutes into the story, Robbie (Leslie Nielson) is on a small hill. as the camera pans up, it shoots a little too high and reveals the top edge of the "Sky" (an indoor stage)
Another adaptation of this story was featured on Rod Serling's Night Gallery and starred Burgess Merideth.
Although the patent date on one of the instruments reads July 18, 2450, the doctor reads it as July 15th. Later in the story, the doctor refers to the instruments as coming from the 21st century.
This episode is based on the short story "What You Need" by Henry Kuttner and C.L. Moore. This story was first published in Astounding Science Fiction (October, 1945).
This episode was later remade as an episode of The Twilight Zone.
In one scene, the monster lifts a chair and puts it down and then "motions" smashing it. It is held that Lon Chaney (Jr.) playing the monster thought it was a rehearsal not an actual broadcast and hence did not want to break the chair!
